I think you can go off the posts over the last week claiming that celebrity endorsements are a desperate move of a failing campaign.

Even Megyn Kelly said the MSG rally was too much.

And this is different to what Donald Trump had done for the last decade or so?

This is what American politics looks like now, two monkeys flinging poo at each other.

Clever word play may win debates, but it doesn't make it true.

Understanding and explaining things, is not the same as justifying them, if in doubt… please re-read this statement.

TBPF, comparing what she said about Trump tonight and what he and his speakers said about Harris at MSG, she's not the one flinging poo. If what she is flinging at the Ellipse is poo then what's being flung at her is nuclear waste. More of the same: MAGA can be Lawless, Harris must be flawless. Double standards, both sidesism.

The more they bite the bait Trump puts before them the more they end up talking about him. Which is what listeners hear, and take away. The best way to defeat Trump is to not talk about him. Ignore his bait and focus on what she plans on doing, what policies she stands for, etc.

I think she has this election, but it will be close. My main worry now is how the MAGA goons will react to their messiah failing, because this is his last chance.

It must be extremely frustrating for the Harris campaign - the fact that both sides are being held to a completely different standard.

I see Joe has put his foot in it now with his description of Trump supporters. Something if which came from the DJT side would not even be newsworthy.

To be honest, I can't see how this ends well for the US.

Police are searching for the person who set ballot boxes on fire in Washington and Oregon

Ballot boxes left strewn across street after falling off truck

How many more incidents like these are we going to see?

You really just have a neck like a jockeys bollox to say anything about a Harris rally after the car crash at MSG, or any other weird rally he does.

    Get out of tha!!!

I didn't know this element of the election was missing lately until he dropped a new video, but Jordan Klepper is back to finger the pulse:

On why we shouldn't teach the history of pre-emancipation America, 'why? we don't teach Jewish history in the classroom'

    "Yes we do?"

    'Like what?'

    "…The Holocaust."

    'I never learned about that.'

"I'm curious, what news sources do you follow?"

"I ask questions from Our Lord Above. And honestly I get a lot of stuff from Twitter"

Brace yourselves. At least, he's not alone in the madness and met by eg. our lad from Reno:

    image.png

He also travels with Edward Young to a Harris rally, in Michigan; you'll recognize Young from many, many, many of Klepper's previous videos, he is a devout but extremely cordial Trump superfan. When Klepper first met him at a Trump event, during his presidency, when his economy was in the sh*tter, Young told Klepper things were doing amazing for him, he is making 4x as much during Covid as 4 years before, etc. which prompted Klepper to ask his occupation: a debt collector.

This is his first Harris rally of course. A few Harris supporters spar with him and he goes to watch Kamala speak etc.

"It's more crowded than I thought."

"I gotta admit: it was fun, I'd do it again."

After that rally, spoiler alert: Klepper spotted him at a different Trump rally … posing as a Firefighter from Scranton, Pennsylvania.

    image.png

The conclusion him and his guest stars take away from their visits is: the MAGA movement is tired, they feel obligated, but there isn't any clear sense of 'what are we fighting for?' anymore, saying that what began as novelty has really worn off for many of them. For others, they want to be 'cuckolded' (hence, while he didn't mention it, the Daddy vibes from Tucker Carlson the other night)

It's nice to get a report from Klepper again and it seems like he's been saving up several weeks of material to document at once as a singular piece about the home stretch of this election. It's still really wild how delusional some of his supporters are, and I mean - just look at Young, going along with this so much he's fully aware that he's impersonating support for Trump that Trump doesn't necessarily have, from Scranton firefighters. It's as if Jordan et al. say, that they feel obligated to put on the charade, to show up at the rallies (in his case 93+ times) to make the movement seem bigger than more organic than it really is. I mean, if you can get a crowd of 10,000 in any given city, but the overwhelming majority are people that follow you around as superfan groupies, your base isn't really that big, and those people only have 1 vote in 1 polling location. That's the cult for you.

On the Covid thing, you can say it was in spite of Trump or because of him, but the bottom line as far as I'm concerned is that for those of us who had enough brain cells to put together to know not to drink bleach, we had shots in our arms far faster than in any other country. That's a win for his administration whether you like the guy or not, it set the global standard.

He advocated against lick downs and masks, Republicans died at a higher rate than Dems as a consequence. That's not success.

Trump will win, I have no doubt about that. Fed up of the US elections feels like its constant electioneering no wonder they make no progress

SCOTUS threw out bids to remove him from the ballots yesterday, so he can be voted for in those states.

Instead of betting, buy your DJT shares now! Soon as the elections called, expect some serious movement in that price!

From memory the UK and Belgium were ahead of them.

The research work you did on the two-stage presidential election system, the voters popular vote by ballot AND THEN the Electoral College, is correct, the scenario you presented is possible, though [from your last line above] I gather that you knew that.

Biden appears to have had a "deplorables" moment overnight - at least he's not running.

Let the Trump Republicans stew in their hate talk. There is no need for Democrats to get involved.

Biden's garbage comment is a massive own goal for the democrats 😞

Ref the vote of the Puerto Ricans living in the continental US [especially Pennsylvania] those who have already voted in person or by mail-in will have to be subtracted from the overall figure of possible pro-Harris Puerto Rican voters in any polls or abstract estimates of the post-"joke" period going forward. Thousands would have already voted before the "joke" effect started to play in.

EDIT: AFAIK, SCOTUS yesterday threw out a suit by Republicans to have a new level of electoral denial introduced in Pennsylvania, which would have applied to the overseas postal votes. The republicans want SCOTUS to overturn a Penn State Supreme court ruling against their effort to block [amongst others] US Military mail-in votes from being accepted as legitimate by electoral officials.

Ah Jaysus Joe what have you done.

You may have just handed Trump the Presidency.

Why hasn’t he been kept away from the media this week?

    Not good at all.

Yet America had among the worst death rate percentages of developed nations.

I wouldn't pin that all on Trump as US healthcare is a complex beast, but he certainly faffed about.

Oh and the UK and Israel rolled out vaccines faster, China and India rolled out more. The US donated more far vaccines than anyone else though.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.
