    That is funny

What do you make of it? Do you think posting on thread is the way to get a wish?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,133 ✭✭✭Shane.C

So we are agreed that Neo is a wish giver and as a result, a villager?

Is it possible a wish giver could be evil? I don't know the show well enough, maybe someone else can chime in here?

@Neo, I'm not certain about anything which means my vote can change right up until closing time tbh. If you have to get your three wishes in before end of day 1, what benefit to the villagers have your wishes bestowed?

    @strawbs, what you thinking?

I'm on phone ATM so my typing will suffer!

Care to share the concerns Lord, so I may stop those bells ringing in your head.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,138 ✭✭✭Neowise

what do i make of it. God is having a laugh.

i think the format i used was perfect, even if you think it was tasky.

The wish that was granted it’s the exact one you said was the tasky. The one asking for coffee.

nobody but me seems to have made a genuine wish, they are not holding the text, are they scared of the ramifications? FYI: from memory, thats you and liz.

Apologies, let me rephrase. You wished 3 times. In what way did your wishes benefit the village?

    Hi all

I've been trying to follow along this morning but haven't had anything useful to add. I've just tried a brief breakdown of players so far. In no particular order...

    Lorcan

I'm getting a slight village lean. Pretty consistent posting, tried a few "gotchas" on wording of other people's posts, few helpful posts about the OP

    Neowise

Are you not on holiday? Someone put chorizo in your paella? You seem very angry 😋

I can't get an alignment read. Deliberately obtuse I feel, but probably too much so to be a wolf. Slight village lean

    Oscar

The whole "Neo cleared me" schtick was laughable but, I think, villagery

    Leggy

I'm flip-flopping here. Trying to get OMGUS about her hammering my website reading, it felt ott to me but it's early days and I appreciate there's little to go on. Accusing Shane C of lying about Neo using the phrase "peek" also seems to obvious to be a tactic, I think it was a mistake. I currently think try-hard-village but probably the closest I am to leaning wolf

    Green&Red

Initially very useful or asking relevant questions. Not much to go on, but I feel village

    Tritium

Only 7 posts, but the best input on Samuel Campbell's flavour kill and how they're likely to reincarnated. Village lean

    Lord TSC

Not getting anything either way, but I liked the early gif work. Neutral

    Beaker

Bull in a China Shop entrance last night. Would be brave for a wolf to waltz in like that, but definitely not ruling it out. Neutral

    Liz

Might just be me, but I find the focus on trying to sign TV characters to roles a little unnecessary. Like, the roles matter, obviously and I get that flavour affects that, I dunno though. That said, I suspect it's an honest approach, slight village lean

    Wrestlemaniac

Early to give their leans and asking a few challenging questions. Village lean

    Shane C

Dealt with the Leggy inquisition quite calmly I thought, didn't feel the need to overprotect themselves which I'd take as a positive sign. Slight village lean

    MacDanger

Nothing much, but thanks for explaining how to search

    StrawbsM

    Not much, but mostly helpful

    Fritzelly, kitten, yoss, ShaneU

Very little to go on, I got nothing

This Is It, Rikand - 1 post

    Duffman13, Clarabel, JohnGreenFan, 0 posts

    Kol gone, shame

Overall, I've basically got nothing, and that took me ages. Gun to head, before anyone asks, I'd pick a low (but not zero) poster

the village now know there is a wish giver, and the format needed to ask for wishes in.
copy the format used for the wish that was granted is a good start.

Nice anti-claim. Would have been easy to let that drift, leaving ShaneC thinking you village. That alone shifts my lean to slight village

A start indeed, but a mightily poor one. What if we have a certain number of wishes available and you waste is on a coffee?

I don't see the intent to benefit the village in your wishes. I see Green and Red vote for a peek, which would infinitely be more beneficial.

I'm not accusing you of being a baddy per session, I'm just confused why risk wasting wishes on trivial and nonsensical things?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,520 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

I'd assume they have a limited number of wishes to give out, and that your coffee didn't count and was a joke...?

My notes on you so far…

Possible vague attempt to pocket G&R early in post 32, but minor.

#149 (mentioned this in my Oscar post) has you backing up LER's suspicions of Oscar. LER says they want to vote Oscar, and you jump in naming them as suspicious too.

#341 - Your response to Beaker's questioning of you; "Added to my own list" - Suspecting someone cause they suspect you is weak reasonings.

#395 - You indicate a desire to vote for someone "yet to post", which always makes me uneasy - it's an easy out. When asked latter why you voted for someone, you can simply dismiss it was because they hadn't posted, which offers very little info. It allows you to hide you're actual thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, I've never liked when people try and play the game by, effectively, not playing the game. But hinting your first vote, one which usually can give a LOT of info as the game goes on, is going to be to target someone randomly, always is a red flag for me. I'd rather see people vote for someone they think is a wolf and be wrong, than just vote for someone who has posted the least.

I wish that shane.c would make wishes that are beneficial to the village instead of saying how bad other people’s wishes are

I wish this could be both true and false.

    Appreciate the response Lord.

I have already given who I'd have a lean on. But certainly nothing strong enough to give a vote on.

Nothing random about my vote. I'd prefer to vote out someone on day 1 for not posting, rather than posters who are engaging and at least playing the game. That seems less random to me.

Anyone know how to post using BOLD on a phone?

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 18,421 Mod ✭✭✭✭Trigger

    Mod helper mode on:

Highlight the text and the bold/italic etc will come up

    Mod helper mode off!

type some text, then highlight the text,

Scroll the windows up and down if you need to move other options out of the way, select the B to bold the selected text

For me, village LOrd TSC doesn't post the first sentence.

You have justified why you have your thoughts on one player, judging them on their play in the hear and now. Which is a fair comment truth be told, however, I don't think village Lord disregards the potential new player being a clueless player (no offence Oscar) as they are a novice on their first village role potentially. I think you take that into account.

I cant help but know you as a human being outside of Werewolf game, you are a fair individual. I don't think you'd discount the possibility of Oscar being a rookie, unsure of how to play as a good villager. I think its an easy out to use to say you judging people on their merits. It fits the narrative you want to use to suspect Oscar.

I cant help but feel uneasy about you from that POV.

Are you not on holiday? Someone put chorizo in your paella? You seem very angry 😋

i am on holidays. Wifi goes into shop and i sit drinking beer and playing this game. Rinse repeat.

I’m not angry though. Don’t know why you are reading my posts as angry. They definitely are not angry posts. 😂🤣😂🤣

I’m having a ball this game so far.

I get the logic, but I just don't like it overall as a voting strat. It doesn't help the village, in the short or long term.

I tend to lean towards hoping a wolf wouldn't just not post at all. That they'd contribute to the game and offer some level of discussion. As I see it, non-posters are one of three things.

    1. A villager with a big power lying super low.
    2. A wolf hiding entirely in the shadows to the point of not playing.
    3. Someone who can't contribute for exterior reasons.

Point one, I don't want to risk hitting someone without them having a chance to defend themselves. Point 2, I'd rather believe people aren't playing that way. Point three, a mod kill will come their way eventually (see Kolido), and thus a vote on them is a waste.

It just feels, to me, like a vote a wolf throws out that they know they don't have to defend latter. A vote on someone who is unable or unwilling to fight back against it, so it allows you to skirt under the radar. I'm far happier when I see people vote based on actual instinct, deduction, etc. Even if wrong, it might at least shake the trees a little, even if it's just giving wolves some ammo to try and stir the pot latter in a catchable way, ya know?

Just to be clear, do we all have 3 wishes to be put on thread in bold?

All I see in the OP about wishes is

Seriously though one should be careful for what one

    wishes

for, it may have unintended consequences. Either way, everyone will have a role to play in our latest instalment of……”
