Those guys are as bad as the Nazis. No difference at all. If it were not for the fact that there is still world coverage on tv of most of the bombing and still members of the press on the ground despite being targeted, then people like the two names would be ensuring that even more innocents were murdered. I highly doubt that the individuals who served willingly were "happily" doing so, as you claim. I would imagine that they would have been wrestling with the dilemma in their minds. It certainly could not have been easy. And they certainly would not have done a 180 degree turn after the last years of the 1930s, as that could have got them a one-way train trip to a gas chamber.
