Trump is running and hiding lol.

How many press conferences has Harris done since becoming the Democratic nominee ?

    86 days.

    Zero press conferences.

    Zero.

Trump is the one with the momentum, he is gaining in the polls and in the betting markets.

Even Frank Luntz says Harris is losing ground.

2 people fainted in the heat, they were dealt with in 5 minutes, then Trump decided we’ll listen to music instead of taking more questions (he took 3 in total).

That’s when he started swaying to his music collection for 35 minutes, normal behaviour?

Just doing plenty of one on one interviews which is what you would previously have been complaining about. Meanwhile Trump spent 40 minutes swaying last night.

Well, we could have media time being taken up with mention of what a Trump presidency would mean for women's reproductive rights in the USA or signing an executive order which would give him enhanced control of government agencies, including the power to fire those he deems as 'rogue bureaucrats', ie actual real dangers possible with his election.

Or we can talk about him swaying to music for a half hour.

While there may be a compelling case to be made that this is a sign of him losing it, it's just going to get lost among the noise of all the other eccentric things he's done or said and become part of the smokescreen 'flood the zone' strategy that Steve Bannon has bragged about.

Yes, he is running and hiding like a child, and showing serious cognitive decline.

More whataboutery from you, centrist my hoop!

Bit of an edit there so I will entertain.

Trump is the one with the momentum, he is gaining in the polls and in the betting markets.

What momentum? He is still behind in some polls, betting has no bearing on it (put your money where you mouth is on that one).

You think yesterdays swaying to music is momentum?

That rally last night appears to be getting a lot of attention and none of it is the right kind for Trump. Wonder if the October surprise is literally Trump becoming more and more out of it.

Wait. Previously the complaint was that she supposedly wasn't doing interviews.

Now it's press conferences that are important?

That doesn't make sense and looks like you're just moving the goal posts out of desperation.

I think that if she did do a press conference you'd invent something else she should be doing instead.

Painfully transparent tactic here. Fools no one.

Ted Cruz tonight proved that Republicans still have no answer on how they will handle abortions and it might lose them Texas of all places.

    https://www.mediaite.com/tv/ted-cruz-attacks-moderator-after-refusing-to-answer-abortion-question-three-times-why-do-you-keep-asking-me/

Ted Cruz says people can resolve 'questions like that' ie. abortion - by voting.

But Ted Cruz is running to be Senator yet again, and the voters wanting to know how he would resolve questions like that … were left without an answer from Cruz on how their vote would be resolving a question like that:

During the debate, moderator Jason Whitely of WFAA in Dallas attempted to get some clarity from the senator:

“Texas has one of the strictest abortion bans in the United States,” the moderator noted. “There’s no exception for rape or incest, as you know. In 2021, you co-sponsored a bill in Congress that included those exceptions. But a year later, when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, you said that you agree with the Texas law that has zero exceptions. So tonight, the question is, where do you stand on this? And we’re asking for your personal opinion as a Texan and as a father.”

    Cruz responded with a filibuster.

“Well listen, abortion is an issue many Texans and many Americans care deeply about,” he replied. “And it’s an issue people of good faith can disagree. People are genuinely and deeply pro-life. People are genuinely and deeply pro-choice. And there are all sorts of positions in between. I agree with the United States Supreme Court that under our Constitution, the way we resolve questions like that, questions on which we have real and genuine disagreements it’s at the ballot box, is voting.”

The senator continued to dodge before claiming Allred is “extreme” on abortion. Allred accused Cruz of lying and then referenced Texas women who had complications from abortion and could not get care, as well as women who were forced to carry their rapist’s fetus to term.

After Allred concluded, Whitely gave it another go.

“Senator, you do not directly answer the question,” he said. “I wanna ask you again. Do you support or oppose exceptions for rape or for incest? Again, asking as a Texas and a father tonight.”

“So, I wanna be very clear,” Cruz began before evading the question a second time by bringing up Allred’s record again.

The congressman offered a rebuttal, and upon finishing, Whitely tried again.

“Senator, I wanna give you 60 seconds,” he said. “I wanna ask you again. Why is this an issue you won’t address, about saying whether you support or oppose exceptions for–”

Cruz, who was on the debate team at Princeton University, chuckled and decided to try a different strategy by attacking the moderator.

“Jason, I’m curious,” he said. “Why do you keep asking me that?”

Cruz then resumed his broadsides against Allred, and the debate moved on to another topic.

With a poor showing like that, it's not out of the realm of possibility Texas turns blue this election.

“That is going to have a serious effect on the overall economy,” Micklethwait said.

“It’s going to have a massive effect — positive effect. It’s going to be a positive effect,” Trump responded. “It must be hard for you to spend 25 years talking about tariffs as being negative and then have somebody explain to you that you’re totally wrong.”

Pretty much every economist has said his plans for tariffs will be a mess, and the costs will be passed onto the consumer. Yet, Donald here seems to know more than all these ecomomists…

How many times was he bankrupt again?

If Harris is out there taking interviews across the political spectrum, why does it matter if she’s not doing pressers? I mean - usually press conferences exist when you intend to announce something and to give the press an opportunity to respond immediately. If she has no news to announce then why would she need one?

Or is it just that Trump has done some so it’s a particularly weak stick to beat her with? Trump has done a rally where he decided to stop taking questions to shuffle about to music for 40 minutes - are you going to start asking when she’s going to get up on stage and stick on a Spotify playlist?

How long before we start hearing: "she's doing too many interviews. She's clearly desperate." ?

The complaint was that she wasn’t doing enough interviews. Now she isn’t doing enough press conferences? I’ve seen plenty of videos of her standing in front of the press, what’s so special about it being designated a “press conference”?

We got that yesterday or the day before when it was announced she was going on Fox and Rogan. Apparently Trump doesn’t need to, but Harris is desperate.

That argument was paper thin, so the goalposts have been moved to press conferences

Apparently the best strategy is to stand on a stage looking confused for 30 minutes and then start making threats to execute immigrants found guilty of murder and start spewing conspiracies about enemies within the country.

That's the peak of campaign strategy apparently.

If I look through the polls, Harris hasn’t really budged. But Trump has picked up the RFK vote.

If an orderly queue formed to slap the smirk off the face of Ted Cruz, I would be ok with that.

Hopefully Allred can take the seat, which is looking promising.

you should see how much free money you can make off the bookmakers with your knowledge of his certain victory !! My opinion, if you work, give up your job and start selling all your belongings, take out a 'new car loan' and put that money on trump. Best of luck, not that you need it !!

Harris interview goes badly (they are not going bad) = she is a moron

Harris interview goes well (they have been) = she has been given the questions / they used an ear piece to feed her the answers

it's ridiculous. yet trump stands there swaying for 35 minutes listening to the same songs over and over like a patient in a dementia ward and the same people turn a blind eye to that.

Warned and 3 day forum ban applied

I know what the next complaint will be, why isn't Harris swaying for 40 minutes at her rallies? Why is she hiding her hips? Because hips don't lie!

That was what started it , but had nothing to do with the weirdness.

Someone had a medical emergency and they stopped things and put on a bit of Music.

Then as that was getting sorted Trump said to the crowd - "Hey , let's just play music , who wants to listen to questions anyhow" and then stood their like a creepy uncle at a wedding for 39 minutes swaying about before finally wandering off stage.

The people who got ill were LONG gone but he still just stood there in some kind of trance and didn't take any other questions.

There has been ZERO mis-reporting here

    Translation: reality confuses me.

Quick one - if I watch the election results live on CNN on my TV, how are the TV signals getting from CNN's broadcast centre to my TV?

Exactly. Harris isn't doing enough interviews… Okay Harris is doing interviews but they're the wrong interviews… Harris is doing too many interviews… Harris had a slight inflection in her voice during one answer who is she Bob Marley or something?

Meanwhile, Trump stands on stage like one of those inflatable flailing tube men but with a hole in the airflow pipe for 30+ minutes, and when he does actually answer questions he absolutely sh*ts the bed with his answers; talking about Virginia voter rolls when asked if he'd support breaking up Google or refusing to acknowledge the numerous reports of how his tariff plan won't work and would add the cost to Americans, instead crossing his arms and pouting like a little child. And those things I just mentioned were only from the last 36 hours or so.

In fairness, they've never managed to land on the moon but achieved mind control. That's some vertical progress right there.

I'm so confused as to how this is even a contest, to be honest.

A friend said to me yesterday, "maybe most of those 300,000 people voting in Georgia are voting for Trump early in case he does something proper mental to lose their vote over the next 3 weeks."

    That's the level we're at. 😂😭

I reckon we will find out if the Democrats can control the weather on Nov 5th.

By all accounts early voting and mail in voting will go strongly their way so they could organise monsoon rain all day on the 5th to lower the actual day voting!

When one links his behaviour with his reported question "why are they still here, we've played the closing music" referring to his fans staying and listening to the music, it seems either his energy was low or he actually wanted them to leave before him, a reversal to his usual refrain "they did not leave before me".

I have to say the world stinks ,

Can you imagine we are 3 weeks out from electing whats supposed to be the leader of the free world and neither candidate is campaigning to stop a Holocaust currently in motion ,

The human race is a joke
