Lidl - recommendations

I bought a packet last week, they are nice enough, prefer the relish ones still!

Have Lidl stopped stocking their decaf nespresso pods? Been months without them and tried multiple stores.

I tried the Lidl Biltong today. Loved it. Great protein snack. Its around €3.50, so a bit pricey, but I will def get a few packs at my next visit. I will try a pack of their Beef Jerky as well.

The specially selected ones are good… I like the 2 x half portions approach.

Recommendation to avoid here. I bought a punnet of nectarines last week in my local lidl. The most tasteless nectarines I have ever eaten. Had one the first day and didn't finish it. Left them to ripen a bit more and they are now soft/mushy and remain absolutely tasteless, no sweetness whatsoever. The rest of the punnet went in the bin.

I have noticed the quality accross some products has gone downhill a bit. One onion in the net of large brown onions is always gone off/bad. I've stopped buying them and buy the small pink onions instead. I am always particularly annoyed by the onions because it is always 1 out of three onions and almost always the centre one, it is as if they are just deliberately distributing the bad ones evenly rather than discarding them.

Overall I find the quality in lidl is great, especially the meat, but there are the odd few products to avoid.

It's a pity because the F&V was always something that they were brilliant at when they first opened here but now I'd tend to say that their pre-packaged meat is far superior to the other big supermarket brands.

I'd still prefer the local F&V shop and butcher over all of them though but that comes at a considerable price

Dangerous so... particularly the dry roasted ones. A particular weakness/vice of mine

Anyone notice if Lidl have pillows and duvet covers at the moment?

My new Lidl is half an hour away and I don't want to go walking out on a wasted journey.

Has anyone ever used those mattress toppers that are coming in Monday? Any good? Worth €70? Do they give a bit of extra support to the back?
