To say that Israel is committing atrocities far beyond the "absolute worst" Russia has done is a bit much.

You can absolutely have the opinion that both sides are committing atrocities, but don't downplay the atrocities Russia has carried out and is carrying out.

TBF I don't think they were downplaying the atrocities Russia have committed and continue to commit in Ukraine.

But what Israel have done and continue to do in Gaza I think surpasses anything we have seen in terms of cruelty and mass slaughter of children in an extremely long time, maybe ever in modern times. This now could be replicated to some degree in Lebanon.

The zionists really have been doing the Russians a solid one over the past year. They have taken so much Western focus/funding/weapons away from Ukraine and directed it to the zionists.

That said, a lot of this is probably down to marketing. Those lads probably really shouldn't have branded themselves as the "axis of evil".

Russia is a nuclear armed state and anything other than a drip-fed of weapons to Ukraine to eventually force Russia to give up and go home risks major escalation, however unlikely.

Iran does not have nuclear weapons. If Russia did not have nuclear weapons the war would be long, long over in Ukraine's favor.

They should have instead went to Arab countries and UN and asked those to go in and bring the heads of the terrorist organisations in X months or else they do it themselves

That would have put the onus on neighbouring Arab states and UN to deal with Islamic terrorism

No lack of keyboard warriors here who admit HAMAS and Hezbollah are terrorists but I doubt any would sign up with defence forces and go in under a UN blue helmet to eradicate those cockroaches

Approx 600 children have died in the invasion of Ukraine, vs more than 16,000 murdered by Israeli forces so far in Gaza alone. The Lancet estimate that the real number could be five times higher than that when you account for the deaths from Israel's tactics of deliberate starvation and destruction of medical and humanitarian supplies. It's an order of magnitude more monstrous.

Any other metric you care to measure in terms of civilian deaths, targeting of schools, hospitals, the murder of humanitarian workers, UN employees, journalists - all of it shows Israel's actions up as being far more barbaric. There are more military casualties in the Ukraine war because most of the fighting is between two military forces, with far fewer civilians being targeted.

Not excusing Russia at all, and you're right that it's not a competition to see who is committing the most attrocities, but given how horrific Russia's actions are rightly considered to be, it really puts into perspective just how inhuman Israel's genocidal behaviour has been and how in a logical, consistent and just world they'd be put under far heavier sanctions than Russia ever was.
