    This is from

    https://www.revenue.ie/en/vrt/vehicle-registration-tax/registration-plate-standards.aspx

"No other numbers, letter or marks should appear on the plate."

Then they illustrate a registration plate in exact contravention of the previous statement?

    What's with the added 'dashes/hyphens'?

The reason I'm querying this is I'm after ordering a set of plates based on the first statement above - with no other marks (dashes/hyphens) between the sets of letters and numbers.

Is there any definitive regulation saying that there even need to be spaces between these sets of number and letters, or are the set I've ordered legal?
