Google Pixel 9 Pro/XL

Has anyone had issues restoring WhatsApp chat backups on the Pixel 9? I had everything backed up to Google Drive on my Pixel 7 Pro but when I set up whatsapp on my new 9 all that appears are group chats with nothing even in them.

I applied for it the other day. Got emails saying kit would be sent to me for posing back my old phone. Hasnt arrived yet. They giving me 190 for my phone and 200 trade in boost

Anyone order 9Pro from Three? Just got an email saying my order delivery date is tomorrow. Pretty excited as I thought the phone was not released until next week. Did the XL arrive early from Three for anyone?

Yeah I upgraded from the 7 pro to the 9 pro XL.. it's basically now an iPhone pro max in shape.. I actually found the 7 much thinner to hold in the hand but the 9 isn't bad..to be honest day to day for my usage don't see anything major but it's a nice phone.. a flat screen means it's easy to fit a screen protector.

to turn on the gemini advanced , I presume it is just to start the trial ?

I found with my previous pixel it can take a week or so for the battery life to improve. I am thinking of upgrading my pixel 7 pro for the 9 Pro XL. I recently got the Samsung S24 ultra but found the camera terrible so I got a refund for it.

Unfortunately mine ended up getting delayed to 27th too... Hopefully I can still use the trade in bonus when it arrives

Mailed them today as well, got the same reply, I'll probably cancel as well if I can't claim the 200e

got email from three today re my trade in… they knocked off about 50 euro from the estimate because of 'scratches' around the bezel and camera module.. kinda annoying as id say it would easily be an A grade in somewhere with CEX.. still went ahead as the price with the 200 euro bonus made it worth while and i couldnt be arsed dealing with getting it back and trying to sell on adverts and probably not getting as much.. im looking at an iphone secondhand for my daughter.. something like a 13 or 13 pro.. there's no way its a better phone than the pixel pro 7.. but you'd do well to pick up some for 400 euro. Its amazing really how apple gear holds its value versus android/pixels..

I got the return kit today too but after doing a factory reset as they instructed, my phone is still enrolled in the android beta program but when I go into the https://www.google.com/android/beta it's not listed to unenroll. Tried sideloading OTA but got stuck at 47% so can't think of any other way to get rid of it. I am hoping this doesn't impact the trade in as it pops up to say it's enrolled in beta once you start the phone.

Issue is I am not being given the option to unenroll. In the beta website my device isn't even listed as being enrolled even though it is. I've seen some suggest android flash tool but am reluctant. Technically it doesn't mention not being in a beta program in the instructions sent out but don't want to post it out only to be told it's not eligible.

Bank transfer in from 3 today for my trade in. Pretty quick process in fairness.

Just wondering has anyone ordered directly from Google and received an update yet?

Money was taken off the credit Card last week and the order status has now changed from:

"Ordered - Delivers 17 Sept – 27 Sept"

to

"Prepared to dispatch – Delivers 10 Sept – 13 Sept"

DHL deliver also have a pretty good update service as they WhatsApp you as soon as they received details about the delivery
