    C2: 6 x 500m @ 1.44.9

    DB OHP: 17.5s x 12, 10, 10

    Lat Pullovers: 60 x 3.x 12

    45-deg Leg Press (both legs): 120 x 15, 160 x 15, 200 x

Felt a pop in the fake hip on the third rep of the last set of leg press. Thought it cracked something in there. Seems OK but might go get an x-ray if it's not improved in a few days

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,769 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

Hip seems to be less f**ked but something still dodge happened in there.

Just had time for a row at lunch:

    C2

    4 x 4-minute row (120s rest) @ 1:49.9

New training cycle on the C2…time-based intervals

I would have thought the leg press would have been one of the safer leg exercises someone with your hip could do, so surprising to hear it happened.

Are you just playing it by ear now with regards to leg stuff?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,769 ✭✭✭✭Alf Veedersane

Could well have just been one of those things. It's probably just soft tissue damage, which is slowly improving but it freaked me out because I felt it right where the bionic part would be in the hip socket and was right when flexion was highest.

I've been alternating blocks of split squats and front squats - though sometimes had to change depending on availability of rack - but might just keep it safe until it feels 100% again. Split squats were going really well too. Maybe 90% of the heaviest I've done.

    C2: 3 x 6-minutes @ 1.50.4

    DB Bench: 4 WS

    Seated Row:  4 WS

    Seated Calf Raises: 4 WS

Finally getting back in a rowing groove. It's only W1 of this 8-week cycle but much better start than this time last year. The average of the three 6-min rows was at 7:21 for 2000m pace, which is a decent marker for W1
