Trump is a racist and rapist.

That's who some posters here are supporting.

    Think on that.

The house and the Senate, remember the border deal on immigration that trump squashed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,618 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

But they cant come straight out and say that so instead we get pretence of caring about:

the border - while ignoring how Trump blocked the border bill

how the Dems run their primaries - while ignoring Trumps actions on Jan 6th and threats to his VP

Gaza - while ignoring Trump being best buddies with Netanyahu and publicly calling for them to get what they need to get the job done

Or just plain scurrilous slurs against Harris.

The not so independent RFK campaign outing themselves as stalking horses for Trump...

The vice presidential candidate, Nicole Shanahan, said that as independents she and Mr Kennedy ran the risk of drawing support from would-be Trump voters and clearing the way for Democrats Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to win the November election.

A large section of the GOP are still fighting the election against Joe Biden. Some going down the rabbit hole of impeaching Biden. It will probably be embarrassing as they will probably not muster the votes in Congress to impeach him.

There is a core looking for traction somewhere. Harris has to keep focused and keep pushing towards tge line and through the tape. There should be no let up.

I see a lot in the media talking about Harris's lead @4% being within the margin of error. 4% margin of error is huge and would be because of some serious polling errors. The polluters have reconfigured there data collection since the 2916 result. I be surprised if 4% is within the margin of error

Holy ****, Kamala is not taking a break

Right now, while night 2 of the convention is happening, she's in Milwaukee, holding yet another rally

Never seen anything like it, she really is not gonna take the foot off the pedal this campaign.

Well, I should hope that the Democrats have learned some lessons from recent electoral cycles, one being that you have to get out there with the people, and you have to get a buzz going.

It fairly helps that Harris campaign is relatively short, too. She doesn't have to pace it like a regular marathon.

How pissed is Trump right now that Kamala has two full crowds in 2 cities in simulcast right now?

To the numbskull posters wondering why we are so interested in American elections .

Brush up on your History. European history since about 1870.

Understand why the world is the way it is.

Stop coming on here unloading your ignorance making us sift through your primary school understanding of international politics.

The rally in Milwaukee was at the venue used for the RNC convention and it was packed to the rafters , clearly doing this deliberately to troll him.

While he was holding a tiny event claiming that no one could buy bread without getting raped anymore.

DNC seems to be going very well.

    The Omamas came out fighting.

There's a bit of a festival vibe following it too. You even have some of the late night shows setting up in Chicago to be near the action too.

Donnie must hate this. I don't remember anything close to that amount of positive vibes surrounding the RNC a few weeks ago. The sudden increase in MAGA apologists might reflect Donnie's rage. Also, we've gone from Harris being a Communist to being stupid to maybe claiming that she's a drunk (based on a poster earlier…don't actually know if that one is being used.)

Oh Donnie…please please please go one further and just say it: Say she can't be President because she's a woman. We know that's what you think and I'd be so very happy if you just came out and said it. Go on Donnie…I asked nicely….

In fairness he would know about rape and sexual assault occurring in a store.

The attacks also point out how Harris was the first to drop out during the 2020 primaries, how she only got 5% of the vote etc. As if this is some kind of proof that she is a poor candidate.

And yet, if we assume this poor candidate is terrible, then the fact she is beating Trump is not quite the gotcha such attacks think it is since it is evident that people are actually willing to support a poor candidate and this then infers that the other candidate must be utterly toxic.

for anyone who watched, was last night any good ? It's well past my bedtime to stay up

As has been remarked on Twitter… the DNC looks like a cross section of all of America.
The RNC looked like a country club in the Deep South.

40 out of 44 members of Trump's former administration won't endorse him, no visible support from previous senior Republicans like Bush.

Michelle and Barrack Obama speech knocked it out of park apparently. The big thing I'm picking up is they've finally managed to make the party feel fresh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,618 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

You mean she didn't execute a coup on stage to seize the candidacy for the Presidency???

    shock

Another MAGA conspiracy theory bites the dust. Hard to keep track of them all…
And there'll be no reflection by posters here who were trying to make hay out of the delay in the Obamas endorsing Harris of how they were duped.

There are pictures doing the rounds of the crowds at both with the DNC crowd holding banners saying "USA" and the RNC crowd holding banners saying "Mass deportations NOW"

    image.png image.png

    Very different vibe entirely

Seemingly, it is not just calling Israel out publicly - apparently the rapist is trying actively discourage a resolution…

It wasnt packed to the rafters. The crooked dems held it in a phonebox, and squished about 3 people into it to make it look packed. Then AI added some depth to make it look bigger.

Let's be fair - The Republicans have form for this.

Reagan cut a deal with the Iranians to keep the US Hostages captive until after the Election so he could use it against Jimmy Carter.

Knowing what we know now , how different a country would the US be today had Carter won that election???
