For all those bemoaning the cost of glamping, have a think about the state of the toilet and shower facilities in general last year (I agree it is expensive mind).

By the Sunday in poets, there was 2 portloos for a few thousand men Qing for their morning constitutional. It was the worst I’ve ever seen it in 20 years going.

I would not bet on them changing that this year. If anybody ends up in poets or more camping I would be intrigued to find out the situation on Sunday.

Hope everybody has a great festival. Have a smile on your face as it’s a great weekend we have in store.

Hi Penfailed didn't get as much done as hoped but a few more stages updated. Suggest putting link on your phone homepage as will be up to date as I make changes and will automatically update your schedule

Yeah, I've had a read of the emails they sent me and it doesn't actually give any on sale date or time. You have to check Ticketmaster for that, maybe the email with the loyalty code will have more details.

Cheers! I much prefer a hardcopy though. Time to print!

Rathmullan House were excellent. From up my way. Got some great food at their stand in the past. Wondered what happened.

Were they from actual Rathmullen House on the Swilly?

Open to offers for 2 tents in Moonlight Meadows - line up didn't suit us this year

Anyone visit the three sky garden last year? Is it just three customers or can you bring a plus one?

    Out of Office on, lads!

Never returned after lockdown. Undoubtedly calculated that the 30% FR charge made it unworkable. Good food vendors are not being replaced like for like. The quality on offer has already dropped a bit. That’ll worsen and the fault for this is entirely with FR/LN.

How strict have the car park opening hours been in previous years.. Previous years I've had school bus drop offs before hitting the road on the Friday morning.. This year thinking of heading before the dreaded teens surface from their beds but don't want to arrive before car park opens.. Website says 9am.. Can you get parked before that?? Will be heading for Yellow car park..

I used to have the app but found it tricky at times so now I add the clasfinder to my phone homepage, option in three dots in top right of screen

Wonder will any of this be noted at the Theatre of Food.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,126 ✭✭✭Fanirish

doubtful as the theatre of food people will be on comp tickets and free posh camping for the weekend

Their continued presence/status in the 2024 version of EP is a curio. If people were polled, vast vast majority would get rid if it meant cheaper food for patrons and more sustainable profits for vendors elsewhere on site.

Been to every EP from 2005 onwards. With a heavy heart I’ll not be there but hoping you guys make it yet another great one. Will miss all the Eco campers and others, great company every year.

For all its faults there are still very few other European festivals that match this, and possibly only Glastonbury. Feedback on Nas & Lankum please, and embrace the carnage.

theatre of food has no actual impact on either of those. It’s mainly there so Melvin and artists can have slightly fancier food if they want it. If they need oysters for Grace Jones.
It’s one of the few John Reynolds legacies that’s just hung around like minefield

I’m just guessing this answer, they might not let you in the wristband gate until 9, but I would assume car parks will have to be open very early on, if the gate to the field was closed, traffic would back up down the roads and quickly turn into carnage!
