Thanks for letting us know, I'd bought a ticket but I've asked for a refund.

The tickets don't seem to have names on them so I'm guessing they're easily transferable.

Lineman announced as the first Hagstravanganza guest brewery. Given it's in just over 2 weeks time they're cutting it fine with releasing the lineup…

I think once the international beer order didn't happen, they're winging it. You'll get what shows up on the day.

Yeah, it's a long and expensive trip for me just to drink pints of Little Fawn all night just.

Would wonder wth happened. Had they overlooked a licensing requirement all this time, or something?

Complete guess, but I'd say there was some sort of delay with the event licensing, or maybe the usual supplier of the temporary beer licence pulled out, and they missed the deadline by which the international beer order had to be placed to ensure the beer arrived on time.

Bob from White Hag posted last night that they have the licence and are full steam ahead for Hagstravaganza.

There'll be beer from a few of the regular Americans, though WeldWerks of Colorado is a new one on me.

Good news, I'll raise an ice cold Mahou or two on the day in solidarity 😉

Hagstravagnza appears to be sold out! still on sale.

Eventbrite had the event listed as sold out for a while earlier but tickets are back up now 🤷‍♂️

CAMRA Northern Ireland are bringing their Belfast Real Ale Festival back this year. 7-9 November. Venue to be announced.

Venue announced, Banana Block (next door to Boundary). Tickets are a very reasonable £4 for non-CAMRA members. I'll be there Saturday anyway.

Looking forward to the Dublin Beer Fest over the weekend, gonna be difficult to try all the beers though 😂

Can't get there until around 5pm Sat, hope it's not like previous years where most of the interesting specials are gone by then 🙈

If anyone going today can you let us know if it's indoors or outdoors? Looks like from their socials it's going to be outdoors this time

Had assumed indoors, so yes, if someone can let us know!

Saw a post saying it's essentially the Leinster Fan Zone, so marquees I think?

It's the Ring Hall, formerly the RDS stables. I don't know it myself, but that sounds indoor to me.

Yes, very much indoor but there are food stalls and tables under a marquee outside

I enjoyed it yesterday. Paying by card at each stall is much better setup than the tokens in the past. A good bit of queuing for toilets which I don't remember being an issue when it was on in the main hall. As expected most of the foreign brewers were sold out of their stuff by 5 or 6pm. Next year will definitely try go on the Friday or be there for opening on the Saturday.

Definitely needed more toilets - there were a set closed for renovations visible through the windows of the next building along, which should probably have been replaced by more than two single portakabin toilets.

Could also have done with a second glass wash station but that's getting in to nitpicking.

Great to see the Irish Beer Festival back in the RDS again after all these years.

It is of course a shadow of what it used to be back in the day (say 7 years ago) when Craft beer was on a rocket trajectory and was "New" in Ireland… The main hall in the RDS was packed with all Irish companies selling beers you couldn't get widely anywhere..

Now you can buy Craft in a lot of the Pubs and at least bottles and cans in the local Spar… Still great to see some of the smaller newer brewers .. and the Internationals.

As for the Hall they ran the festival in.. was really short on seating, toilets, and only a small handful of food vendors.

Hopefully will be back next year bigger and better..

Enjoyed my Friday evening in there - no issues with toilets, and wasn't bothered by the lack of seats personally. However, I found the acoustics/ sound level in the hall awful. Might not have been as bad on the Saturday where I'm assuming it was fuller.

I thought my hearing was going because I couldn't hear a thing anyone said. Glad that's not just me then.

We were there shortly after opening on Saturday, and the music volume was way too loud for the venue from the off. I have a knee issue so I can't stand for long periods of time, but we were lucky and got a seat. But there was a definite lack of seating for the size of the crowd. People we spoke to had been there on Friday as well, and they'd been told that there had been 8,000 through the doors on Friday. The quality of the food we had was poor for the price they charged, but maybe some of the other food places were better and we were just unlucky. Overall, it was good to see it back, but I'd definitely try to get there on the Friday in future as there were more than a few beers we wanted to try already sold out.

So even first thing on Saturday there was sold out beers? I don't know why but I was thinking that the foreign brewers who could only bring a limited amount of kegs would have held some back for Saturday
