    Really?
Never heard it called anything other than furze...

And when burnt, as it was every year - the black sticks collected for the fire were called ‘spánach’ :)
Only ever known as furze around here too. But then again there’s crazy people all over the country that call a fork a pike so I suppose anything’s possible!!

Used mulsher here, the one on Tractor machine.Following year spot spray with Roundup. If possible I'd put out perhaps 10,10,20.Shud get grass moving & keep furze down.Quick job is ripping them out ,but they grow back quickly.

I'm thinking of cutting thicker branches near ground, then drill a small hole into the centre where I will put using syringe a amount of say brushwood or gallup into the drilled hole. And let it soak. Anyone try this?

i sprayed a whin that was encroaching into a field with forefront there this spring to see how it worked. So far it’ looks dead It’ll be next year before i can say if it really works.

I did exactly as you describe with Rhododendron and it worked, I used Grazon Pro. Injected roughly 15 ml in every hole. So there's no reason it shouldn't work on gorse which is much easier to kill than the dreaded Rhododendron. Roundup may work on gorse - it's much cheaper.

Done that today, used a drill and made a we well to hold the grazon, but hope I will see a result..

How long do you remember until you started seeing a result?

    Anyone used this

Seems like it would be handier that cutting and injecting. Have bryers and whin bushes overgrown is grazon 90 the best weed killer or would a brush killer be better?
