Trumps election was a combo of many things incl. Hillary simply not campaigning in many states she thought wrongly that she already had bagged, but he also wasn’t a proven rapist and a convicted felon at the time. “What do you have to lose” vs “Pokemon go to the polls” etc. well Americans are keenly aware of what they stand to lose under Project 2025 with a rapist felon (and implicated pedophile) who wants to be king with his captured justices, and he’s running scared of his presumptive opponent, an AG he’s donated thousands to in her career of prosecuting pedophiles and rapists.

I have yet to see a poll where Harris beats Trump nationally, never mind a poll where Harris wins states like Michigan or Pennsylvania.

And Democratic supporters forget she performed very poorly in the Democratic Primary in 2020, she withdrew before the Iowa caucus because she was forgettable and not popular. Her only bright spot for her was calling Biden a racist.

As VP she was expected to take a bigger role, but even Democrats were disappointed in her.

Now she is expected to beat the Trump and MAGA machine.

I see why she would run tbh, because even though she will probably lose, if it went to an open primary she wouldn't be a nominee anyway, so its a free hit for her.

The thing is, the assassination attempt had no impact on his polling which isn't great for him.
