Imagine we will be without Sheehan, Casey and Henshaw next week with a question mark over Aki too.

hat should change? Or how do you change it and "ruining" is hyperbolic.

will you give over with your hysterics .

SA won and well deserved today .

We showed enough to get it together for next weeks rematch .
Doris was immense today . Give him the captaincy now

Am still puzzled as to why Doris try wasn't given. To me, it clearly looked like a grounding before the intervention of the SA leg.

Whatever about the reffing shitshow, our attacking structure was non-existent for most of the match. Flat, uninspiring passing.

Those infield players can't magically teleport. Lowe is flinging it infield to nobody

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,225 ✭✭✭TomsOnTheRoof

That was atrocious from the officiating team. One of the worst performances I have seen. And as a Munster fan I'd just like to say **** Snyman. He knew well what he was doing. The ball was long gone and he marched Casey back and threw his full weight down on top of him. Easy do when you have a 40kg advantage.

Crowleys kicking off the tee cost us also .

klippes and coke….probably being drinking outside stadium and bbq going since early morning so they can get a good parking outside stadium.

Think we need to move on from POM now, he offers very little and it's not good enough when he can't last much beyond half a game

Murray and Ringrose will start next week

Try ruled out was a joke decision when Kolbe was miles in front of the kicker prior to the Penalty try, the inconsistency in what gets checked is killing the game.

TV director needs to be taken out the back and shot for the close up on Casey.

Takes 15 to win a match, Lowe was very unlucky that Whithouse managed to disallow his "try"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 14,311 ✭✭✭✭The Iron Giant

Not surprising really as I think he looked at two angles a grand total of one time each and moved on.

It's a song they sang with some modified lyrics after winning the RWC and associate it with the tournament and their success. They don't play it to annoy Irish players or fans, the club teams regularly play it at home games when Irish sides aren't even involved.

It's actually very similar to what Irish soccer fans in 1990 did with a Mexican world cup chant that caused "ole ole" to be associated with Irish success.

Loftus is always loud on a big day… And crowd love the music which was definitely picked by a Afrikaner for a predominantly Afrikaner crowd who love to sing along.

synman likes doing that where he cleans a much smaller player and than lies on them and slowly moves away. He has form for that

The weird part is where he just lies on the tacked player and is too big to be moved. It’s a very aggressive alpha power move with sexual overtones. It’s very weird

Munster won’t miss him anyway as he rarely played for them.

Even if you want to say that's a deliberate playing of the ball by Kelleher, he's still being impeded by the South African with his hands around his neck. That's surely a penalty to Ireland?

That it led to a Bok penalty and points just makes you feel very hard done by.

He doesn't just lie on them, he tends to grind his elbows and knees into them. As someone reminded me, see the exact same behaviour against Glasgow and Ben Healy a few month or so ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭uptherebels

Again they can't teleport. Lowe shouldn't be throwing the ball infield when no one is there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 91 ✭✭CorneliusBrown

Proud of the effort from the boys and delighted we had the last say score-wise but felt we were reffed meanly compared to the opposition.

They looked for a reason to disallow the try so they should be examining the ruck as a whole.

Maybe that captains challenge needs to be brought back.

    To answer my own question:

    ----------

    18.2.b

The ball is not in touch or touch-in-goal if:

The ball reaches the plane of touch but is caught, knocked or kicked by a player who is in the playing area.

A player jumps, from within or outside the playing area, and catches the ball, and then lands in the playing area, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.

A player jumps from the playing area and knocks (or catches and releases) the ball back into the playing area, before landing in touch or touch-in-goal, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.

A player, who is in touch, kicks or knocks the ball, but does not hold it, provided it has not reached the plane of touch.

    ------------------

Did Lowe start on or off the pitch when he executed the manoeuvre? Must go back and check.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

There should always be players near Lowe for that very eventuality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,265 ✭✭✭mun1

😂😂😂 Jesus Christ , what are you drinking !

Just on the RG hit, I might be wrong but when watching it, I thought it was his usual late stuff. But he then looked and saw the damage he did to a recent teammate of a few years and just turned his back and walked away. That's fairly scummy in my book. No concern for an injury that would have looked serious. Good riddance to him from a munster pov.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 603 ✭✭✭thamus doku

exactly. I could not remember the game. Ben Healy he did the same and i think watched the game and actually hoped the Munster boys should have clocked him one. Ben Healy is still one of our own.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 603 ✭✭✭thamus doku

Seriously. Watch that tackle and then the same way he played against Ben Healy.
    its weird.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,837 ✭✭✭Tigerandahalf

I thought Craig Casey played very well. Lowe played well, with some magic touches and then unlucky with a couple of catches.

I thought S Africa were very poor with lots of poor turnovers and they really lack creativity from 10 to 13. De Klerk has looked poor for a couple of years. Bealham showing again that he is ahead of Furlong and should have been brought on earlier. Loosehead is a real issue with Porter staying on far too long.

Bundee and Beirne looked very tired. Osborne was very solid on his debut and probably owns that 23 jersey now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 91 ✭✭CorneliusBrown

No doubt in my mind if an Irish try had resulted from that it would have been disallowed

Any idea why Osborne was taken off? Thought he was doing fine, and Frawley didn't do much when he came on.

Next week I'd have either Henshaw or Osborne/ Frawley at 12. Aki was pretty poor today, plus being injured.

Baird to start over POM, Ryan to start with Beirne on the bench.
