Is there a way to get rid of this crap?

Every time ya open the site for the first time of a day, or if you restart the browser, this splash comes up if you change pages in a thread. Happens on the first page change and then doesn't come back. Also happens if you hit the "Thanks" but usually doesn't go away and is part overlayed on the page

Ad-blocker? Unusual browser (or common browser with unusual configuration)? Using a non-local DNS? Are you accessing Boards from outside Ireland?

I've never seen that screen, which does suggest it's something in your setup that's making Boards/Vanilla think you may be a bot

It's Cloudflare's doing, and I know Mike can make some changes to it. Last I recall it triggers on a list of known VPN/proxies and certain countries.

I actually don't think this screen is Cloudflare. Cloudflare's bot-check page looks like this:

I'm pretty sure this is an additional check on Vanilla's side. Aside from anything else, I'd have a lot more faith in Cloudflare to spell "Performance" correctly! But also there's a similar image mentioned on the Vanilla forums: https://open.vanillaforums.com/discussion/39060/whats-problem-dashboard-the-new-feed-loading-error

It has a Ray ID, which usually means Cloudflare. Customers of theirs can customise the error pages with their logos.
