The ones I saw were in bits anyway, he'd do well to get 15c back on any of them!

I made sure the two I bought were flattened into oblivion 😁

Seriously thinking of taking your advice and going to Barcelona. Could you recommend a reputable ticket provider to get them off? Seems to be a few but I don't know which ones to buy from as I usually only buy from ticketmaster

    www.entradas.com

You want "pista delantera" tickets. They'll put more on sale in a week or so.

They actually have an official resale site where you cannot charge above face value.

There are pit tickets available for purchase just now when I checked:

Not sure if it is the same in Barcelona but there were loads of tickets on Ticketmaster at the weekend for Bruce, many at below cost price as people tried to get rid of them. Risky game admittedly if you going to Barcelona to see him!

Finding myself nearly a week onwards still buzzing from the gig in Croke Park. Yes it was poxy getting in and the drink situation a farce but what a fantastic 3 hours it was watching such a great group of singers and musicians strut their stuff. They don't make geniuses like Bruce any more and the music industry has changed so much, future generations won't know what they missed out on. I just hope he comes back again so I can bring my young children next time.

    Never been, looks great.

Only Spanish gig I was at was WOAD in Santiago de Compostela, the worst organised event I was ever at. Tens of 1000s of fans on country roads in the middle of nowhere, hardly any stewards, crush to get in…. we left early, relieved to be on the right side of a (very reasonably priced!) pint of Estrella Galicia back in the city within 30 minutes.

Madrid 2 is next, should be a somewhat differenent experience.

    Oh nice. Love Madrid.

Yeah its important to pick gigs that have facilities already in place. Transport, toilets etc. Otherwise you'll be having a Slane experience.

Marseille concert has been called off within the last half an hour "on doctor's orders".

Feel for the fans over there and feel fortunate we got to see him over the last few weeks

He sounded pretty bad on the Novellos, hopefully a bit of rest for the voice and some warm weather will see him recover

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,167 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Maybe he'll get another 'tour' out this postponement

As much as I love him I don't think I'd afford another gig of his for 2025

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,441 ✭✭✭Dr. Nick

Well that's doubtful. He might peg it on at the end of this one tho

At 74 he can't keep doing 3 hour concerts in the lashing rain! Get a damm roof on that stage. All the travel, adverse weather and marathon concerts are gonna take their toll on his health. For Pete's (Aiken) sake take care of BRUUUUUCE!

If the wind is blowing the wrong way, even with a substantial stage roof they would still get drenched. At least we had warm rain in Cork. It was a lot cooler in Sunderland. Hope he recovers in time for the next concert.

Croker is now on Nugs for anyone wanting to relive it.

I wonder will a few more be postponed to give him a rest. I see there is break between Milan and Madrid. The 4 shows in Ireland probably took it out of him.

Bruces best days are behind him now. Still a fantastic showman and live act but age has caught up with him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,616 ✭✭✭muddypaws

I was surprised that he got through Croke Park as well as he did as he obviously had a cold then, his nose was running really badly for the first few songs, you could see it clearly on the screens. He must have dosed up with something as it seemed to clear up but I guess that cold, wet night in Sunderland was too much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,375 ✭✭✭Everlong1

I saw him in Belfast and his voice was a bit ropy throughout - he admitted at one point during the gig that he'd been suffering with a cold and that was why his voice wasn't 100%. I was at Croker too and he sounded a lot better. Pity about Marseille, Bruce being the trooper he is he must be really bad if they cancelled.

The Rolling Stones must be freaks of nature then add Bob to the mix

Bruce still looks fantastic for his age and no doubt is gunning to get back when he's match fit

His vocals were ropey in Dublin for the first few songs, with Stevie being called in to cover vocals quite a bit. He seemed to get into his stride after that.

Serious so, if early August is not possible for rescheduling, he is free up to August 13th, but US leg, resumes August 15th, but venues may not be available, these 4 postponed gigs might go to 2025, if at all
