Why is it always the posh uni kids protesting, in Trinners and the US?

Nobody with any sense has ever got involved in a student union organisation in either secondary school or college , its always twits who've too high an opinion of themselves and want to feel important and have to invent problems for themselves to be concerned about so they can feel like hero's in their own mind.

I think only around 2500 out of 16500 students in Trinity actually voted for the Student Union so that actually shows you how much of a mandate they have to do anything,

I for one was appalled at TCD's capitulation to these misguided pro-Islamic terrorist fools. One of their demands was for TCD to give free scholarships to Palestinians 🤬. Absurd. TCD should have kept up ties with Israel, expelled all the protesting students, and taken a far tougher line.

It's more accessible in the Capital. Particularly to non-Dublin people who are more likely to be in the Capital than a small town in co. Meath.

The students have won. Their protest was successful and the colleges has capitulate & agreed to divest from Israeli investments.

"Traditionally" books have been kept in libraries, which is a practice that has existed for thousands of years prior to any museum coming into existence; since you are referencing length of established practice in an attempt to conevey gravitas to the argument of putting a book in a museum vs a library.

As I said previously, this isn't really about the most appropriate place for the book, so much as it is about historical grievance baggage and grinding catholic and natioanlistic axes.

Where did I say anything about a library, placing an book anywhere? I didn't even imply traditional added any gravitas??? I literally already said that it's perfectly for for a book to be stored in a library or a museum, whoever is best equipped makes sense, which is likely Trinty as all this time.

You claimed that Art galleries are for works or art, and museums for things "other than are". I was pointing out that is laughably incorrect.

As a random person to name a famous art work they'll probably say The Mona Lisa by DaVinci, The Starry Night by Van Gogh or maybe a Picasso - one of the Spanish prostitutes probably his most famous. All of which are currently in museums along with many of the most famous art works.
Or ask them for a building that has famous artworks and you get The Louvre, The Met, The Guggenheim, MOMA, Rijksmuseum. All of which are museums
