Scores out from the 2024 tests. Got around 150th in Business side. They are only interviewing the first 36 now it says.

Wonder will that get an interview eventually.

I have been given a number for my place for 2 streams. Between 150 and 200 for both.

Is there any way of knowing how long that could take?

And what is the stage 2 process usually? Is it in-person interviews, or more assessments?

    Hi there.

Just wondering how people who have been placed are finding the job so far? Are you working remotely or in the office in terms of training?

Panel of 3 plus PAS rep. All friendly and very clear on what they are testing you on. Started with introduction , then presentation followed by questions on presentation - how will you implement recommendations/ challenges. Then they move on to competencies , they will say what competency they are testing and some were in two or three parts which they outline to you, short quick questions and you have to be fairly succinct in your answer. I had STAR examples - I didn’t use these but was happy I had written them out/practiced for myself as I could then pull out a point or two depending on the questions. Follow up questions depend on the example you give. Finished with a rapid fire round of short questions requiring short answers, how do you build resilience/ what would you do I first few weeks of job. Good luck 🤞

Thank you so much ☺️ I will have to start work on the interview as I was putting it off. I never had an interview with presentation, so guessing they will give you topic before hand what you should be presenting right? How long it should be a total timing of the presentation and interview? Sorry to bother you with another questions. Greatly appreciated and best of luck on your new job 😊👍

In the open AO comp (which started on 2023) it is an open brief (details in a link via the original competition booklet) they do not give you the topic. Presentation 10 mins max , 8 slides max not including title slide. I was nervous for the presentation, it was fine - I read from my notes more than I wanted to but I think it was just nerves. Make sure you can support why you chose the topic and your approach to structure of presentation.

    Are the AO positions nationwide?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13 okbreakfast

Pretty sure this particular competition is Dublin only. At least that's what my latest piece of correspondence with them stated.

There are AOs in the regions but very few, overwhelmingly concentrated in Dublin hence the competitions are Dublin based.

Has this competition simply ground to a halt altogether? I can't remember off hand but the panel remains live only until November, I think, and the number called to interview is still in the 200s. (My own OOM is 500+)

Hello I was in the 240s OOM. Did the interview two weeks ago and got results saying I passed last week. I was called for clearance on the same day I got the interview result which was a huge surprise since I thought this would take a lot longer. I was in the early teens on the Batch 4 interview OOM so I assume all those above me were also instantly called forward for clearance.

    Oh, wow: that is quick.

Many thanks for this info - and congratulations!

I've been informed the OOM has now nearly reached 390th place FYI.

the info booklet says they do not expect us to work on the presentation for more than 3 hours, has anyone actually managed to pass the interview with this little prep time?
