It's there for me anyway in the 3plus app (not the my3 app)

I'm looking on 3+. Where is it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,039 ✭✭✭One More Toy

    First page 'top offers'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 918 ✭✭✭PeterDuggan

Thanks again. Not seeing it for some reason.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not all out to get you.

That's odd, maybe check the app is updated?

I had 48 euro in credit. I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on PC from the EPIC game store for 29.99. If you use your phone to go to the Epic store you can pay in credit. If I didn't buy something I'd lose the 48 and three would conveniently not send me a reminder to top up and it disappears in about 10 minutes using 4G.

Can anyone else buy something over 30?

I've tried to get alltrails for 36 and keep getting error

Been onto 3 twice and Google twice and alltrails refuse to do monthly sub

This limit has always been in place as far as I know.

I've a €39.99 sub that goes through for me.

Oh ok, I definitely remember people mentioning it years ago in this thread.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,135 ✭✭✭Raoul Duke

I remember that too. Maybe it's true as well. I can't remember how the sub started. Maybe it works for me to continue with the sub at that amount, but maybe it started at a smaller amount.

At least others have said there is a limit and its not he says she says between google and three

I know theres an Irish hiking app, but it misses out on smaller ones, which is a shame as they do monthly subs

Any other game stores allowing credit now? Would be nice if we had the PSN credit back!

Is there anywhere to get a full updated list of everything credit can be used for?

I know some can be found here by trial and error but it would be nice to see them all in list form.

This is what it says on their site about their limit so it should have worked unless you reached the daily or monthly limit:

"There is a limit of €50 per transaction, €100 per day and €150 per month."

The only other thing I get is ten euro Google one storage so I'm not near any limits, thanks

Three tried too say there's a thirty limit by Google and Google said no limits are on my account

Just the epic store as far as I can tell

AFAIR, it's Vodafone that applies a €30 limit whereas with Three it's €50 as posted above.

Hiiker. Can't recommend it highly enough. Only app with EastWest mapping, the most detailed mapping available for this country.

Unfortunately, can't pay for subscription with credit though.

Yeah I'm sure I was using that with may have to go back to it and get used to it

I dunno what, but there's something that made me prefer alltrails

    Yeah you can pay monthly

@Quackster Did you reply to me somewhere on this thread? I've a notification that you did but I can't find any post 🤔.

Maybe it's just Vanilla doing it's "thing" 🙄.

Need help with checking Vodafone PAYG account expiry date - is there any short code or can you check it somewhere in my vodafone app? Got a text that to keep my services I have to top up within 7 days but would like to know the exact date.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 104 ✭✭thebo

Would assume it's 7 days from day you got the text.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,186 ✭✭✭loki7777

It is but how to check it myself - I was on the chat with vodafone, he gave me the exact date but not how to check it myself.

  • Moderators, Regional South Moderators Posts: 6,084 Mod ✭✭✭✭Quackster

It used to be possible to check by dialling 1741 but that option was removed some time ago.

All you can do is make a note of the last top-up date and count forward 180 days - this is the date you are sent the text telling you you have seven more days to top up before being disconnected.

I use my left-over credit on 3 to send youtube superchats, lol.

Does anyone know if An Post mobile allow you to use credit on the Android Play store like how 3 does?

Interesting, is there anything stopping us from crediting our own superchats (i.e. using a different google account than your 3 one) and getting the credit back as cash?

EDIT: Actually I just read up about it. SuperChat earnings go into your AdSense account and YouTube take 30% as fees. You can only withdraw from AdSense when your balance reaches a certain threshold, so that would probably be less than the amount in one's 3 account.

I installed the Rakuten TV app on my phone and rented a movie I couldn't find on YouTube last week, and was pleasantly surprised to find I could use Three credit for it. However when I rented another yesterday the Three option didn't seem to be listed - just my bank card (also associated with my Google Play account). Anyone have experience with Rakuten? Searching the thread it was mentioned a couple of times, but I think only as part of some bundle.

Update: Successfully reverted to Three credit as payment method when renting again just now. 🙂 Realised I just had to tap the payment method line (still set to bank card) to open a screen showing all methods, then chose my phone number, representing Three credit. (This may have been discussed before in the thread, but it’s probably the first time I had to go through the process; don’t know why my bank card became default recently.)
