Not horrible but not exactly as nice as the last one either which was one of the best looking cars in its class as well as one of the best looking mass produced cars ever built and still looks great today.

Still this new Scenic dies seem to have some great design elements and nice touches to it so it deserves to be a succes.

Personally do I wish Renault had just retired the Scenic name and maybe called this a Laguna instead or some other name.

Actually it says in the article that this is not a crossover but also not an MPV anymore either. Its kind of in between. So make of that what you will.

It isn't a bad looking car to be fair, it's just a bit generic. I feel like you could put any other badge on it and it would fit in with that brands styling

Which probably says more about car brands ripping each other off than about Renault specifically

A crossover started off as an SUV style vehicle that was built on a unibody car platform instead of a body on frame style used by SUVs.

Nowadays it's just a car that's a bit taller, most EVs are going the crossover route because the easiest way to do so is to raise the body by a few cm's and stick the battery at the bottom.

Really disappointing, was hoping they will keep the current format with 3 seats at the back, ideal for 3 kids. The current car seems more streamlined as well to offer better efficiency. As other have said this is just the generic design all cars seem to follow nowadays.

I tested the new Megane 60kw 2 weeks ago and found it excellent.

Well it's getting lots of great reviews anyway which is good but will probably be over €50,000 here. Starting at 40k in the UK.

Getting much better reviews 🙂 than the new Peugeot e-3008 which to be honest is horrible looking inside and frumpy at the front.

Still does not mean it's not a bad car it has a good range just could look better but looks are subjective anyway although I have heard it does not handle great either which is not like Peugeot.

think the proper 7 seater is dead in the water, which is a shame. 3 individual, independent seats in the middle row is great for 3 kid families. I see even the new e5008 have done away with the 3 individual seat middle row. Its now just pandering to the SUV market. look at the old (previous) Grand scenic, looks better streamlined and better suited shape for EV.

Trim levels now showing on Renault.ie so prices should not be too far away now.

I think it will start at about €40k for the 60kWh model and €45k for 87kWh after comparing price difference between Scenic and Megane on Renault France and UK.

On the UK website, the Scenic EV configuration is up, base 60kWh starts at £37.5k and 87kWh starts at £41k, ex delivery & metallic.

Techno looks like the sweet spot IMO.
All trim levels have heat pump as standard, but granny charging cable is an optional extra like the Megane which is a bit stingy.

Them 87kwh ones are expensive going up against the likes of the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3.

The 60kwh models are good value do if that is all a person needs
