Swift is such a mainstream megastar that her fandom is surely going to overlap with Trump voters and a certain amount of MAGA maniacs. I would have to think her management has crunched the numbers on what a potential endorsement of Biden or criticism of Trump would mean for her music, merch and tour revenue.

It may be correct to say that Swift is more popular, but MAGA hats are nuts. If Trump views her as a genuine threat to his campaign, he'll pull no punches in attempting to make her life a complete misery. He has no scruples.

Swift has a huge amount of influence in the US at the moment. Was reading earlier that the NFL have a dollar figure for her value to the sport so far from when she turns up at her boyfriends football games. And it's north of $300 million. They reckon 500,000 young women registered to vote after she put a call out. Trump might want to go after her, but he'd be an idiot ( I know, I know) as she'd shred him to pieces. She's popular, talented, rich, politically savvy and ruthless. He'd have a better chance of ousting the Ayatollah of Iran than dethroning the current queen of pop.

Has Taylor Swift actually said or really become involved in this? I have heard a lot of nonsense about her but don’t think I’ve actually heard anything political she’s said. This once again feels like one of conservative America’s attacks on nothing like their culture war rubbish.

admittedly I live in a Taylor swift free world and don’t think I could pick her out of a line up of similarly looking women so could have missed a lot.

In a nutshell, she supported two Dem candidates in the mid-terms, and encouraged people to vote (or register to vote) without actually giving her endorsement. That said, she's said she regrets not speaking out against Trump in the 2016 election, her boyfriend appeared in a Covid Vaccine ad encouraging people to get the vaccine, and now her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is on one of the teams in the Superbowl (which means the camera has kept cutting to her in the spectators box for family/friends in NFL games that she's been at), so now the conspiracy is that if her boyfriend's team wins the Superbowl, they'll both endorse Biden and that's somehow a big conspiracy engineered by Biden to beat Trump, because Kelce will wrap up large sections of the NFL audience and Swift will wrap up sections of the youth/female audience.

Because anyone voicing their support of Trump is a free-speech patriot, but anyone voicing their support of Biden is a deep-state psy-op conspiracy to steal the country and hurt Trump who is just Jesus Incarnate.
