Good call watched it tonight and while my only knowledge of Air Jordan's comes from Chumley on Pawn Stars I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved the 80's tunes and memorabilia. Ben Afflect is so perfectly cast as Phil Knight on looks it's unbelievable. I remember as a young lad when a pair of Nike Air Jordan were £80 on launch (black with red nike logo on them if I remember), that was when minimum wage was less than £2 an hour in this country, like pricing a pair at €400 in todays world.

    Peter Moore RIP.

I've just jumped in at the end of the thread...

Anyone know why some individual episodes in a series are not available?

"This video is currently unavailable" is in place of the Play button.

I'm confused why some episodes in a series play and some don't.

You and the rest of us. Give examples and we can take a look and see if its affecting all of us, which it probably is.

    This again.

Well known issue, series in blocks some episodes are out of block search for series again and pick the duplicate that has the episode you're looking for.

Vikings and The Walking Dead there anyway but as said maybe tell...

It's happened on two series this week. I forget the name of the first but the problem yesterday was with This Is Us. Ep1 ok, Ep2 not available, Ep3 ok.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,066 ✭✭✭✭ohnonotgmail

If I search for This is Us I get the results below. If I go into the one that is top left then Season 1 Ep 2 is there.. If I click on the one second from right on the second row it says that S1 Ep2 is unavailable.

I finished all 4 seasons of Fargo, having never seen it before. I thought the first 3 seasons were excellent, but thought the quality dipped in the 4th one. I didn't care much for some of the casting choices in the last one, particularly Rock and Schwartzman. I did like the post credits scene, though.

I'd recommend the series if others, like myself, haven't seen it before. I understand a 5th season is on the way later this year.

I've only just finished the third season (Fargo) myself. I've pretty much picked up that accent so need to take a break ha.

First 2 are seriously good in my book top tv can't decide the frontrunner .Third was a drop off for sure but not without its obvious stand out performers that really make it.

I finished The Power. It started off promising enough but it was less interesting to me as it went on. I guess you could say it ran out of juice...

I didn't care for most of the characters and a lot of the big twists were pretty easy to figure out ahead of time. Not sure I'd be keen on a second season. It seems to be up in the air as to whether it will get one.

Watching a movie at the moment.

    Rendition 2007.

It's a political movie about the middle east and when the language changes to Arabic, there's no subtitles. I turned on subtitles and when they speak Arabic, the subtitles reads "speaks in foreign language".

    What use is that

Sometimes you are not meant to understand if the POV character doesnt either.

    Or sometims tis just uselessness!

Brilliant film. John Travolta is so good in it as is Nick Cage, but Travolta does the change brilliantly. One of my favourite movies.

One that people might not choose without a recommendation?

The Curse of the Chippendales - imdb 7.2 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14679942/

Didn't expect much of it but its well put together and I'm sure there a plenty here that can remember back that far.

Might be old news to you all but on Apple devices the Prime Video app can now connect to the TV app.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,821 ✭✭✭Tigerandahalf

Does anyone know can you still switch your Prime account to the uk version? Want to watch the rugby games on Prime (who have UK rights) rather than fiddling with Chromecast with Premier Sports on Now TV. Premier have the Irish rights it seems.

    Thanks

I've recently got Prime and no, I can't see where one could switch to a UK version of the App, the only way I can think of doing something like that is to get a VPN app.

Does anyone know if you can change the IMDB info to Ireland/UK, as the age ratings are way different to my IMDB app or IFCO site ratings

Example: Kong: Skull Island is listed as IMDB 16+ on Prime, but IFCO lists it as 12A and IMDB app has it as 13+

to show the Irish certification you need to be logged into imdb and set the title display under content settings to Ireland. By default it shows the US certification.

if you change the region of your phone to the UK, i think that works. I had a foreign phone when I returned home. I needed to download the AA app, which was restricted to Ireland, so I changed my phone region. I was able to do that easily (you can only change it once a year).

Prime Video UK has picked up the UK broadcast rights to Those About To Die, a drama series from director Roland Emmerich and ‘Saving Private Ryan’ writer Robert Rodat set in the spectacular, complex, and corrupt world of chariot racing and gladiatorial fights in ancient Rome, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins, Iwan Rheon & Sara Martins

Anyone know if the Jury will get added to Prime Ireland ?

I have finished the first three episodes of Shelter (Harlan Coben)

I am a bit confused about where it might all go, feels a bit Stephen King-ish, lots and lots of twists as expected with something based on a Coben book (maybe too many!) but it's very watchable the lead trio are solid.

Harlan Coben is a man who has made a fortune from the streamimg sites, I bet he isn't out on the picket line demanding better residuals.

Million pound/euro & dollar deals in the last few years with Sky, Netflix and now Amazon.

The Report - Adam Driver, Annette Benning

A film based on the events surrounding a report on the CIA use of torture after 9/11. Highly recommended if you have any interest in the subject or in american politics generally
