His influence on Radiohead, particularly Kid A and Amnesiac, cannot be overstated. He effectively accused them of plagiarism, and he had a point.

Does anyone know how you can book in with Dyson?

Sat evening at the SD excellent.

The timing of TCM on Friday probably means no meet up there. Hard not to see a better option at 9pm.

Realised I hadn't replied to this. The band is Havana Roots, it's Cuban music mixed with reggae. Playing 18:30 Saturday on Providencia stage. if that sounds like your thing we'd be delighted with any support!

I must say that the terminus lineup is quite nicely curated if you're into some industrial techno. 999999999 and I Hate Models sound pretty decent to me.

Havana Roots - sounds just the tonic as an early Saturday evening warmer upper. Will stop by with a rum and coke (& a spliff)😀

Early access ticket worth dealing with an extra day of no shower and feeling unclean?

Maybe the meet up could be at the bootleg beachboys at 6oc on Saturday??

What was the reasoning behind the blurring? Like if they were announced first day it wouldn’t seem as bad I think? But to create a hype of it? Crazy really

Maybe The Script weren't 100% sure they'd play so this was a way of having time to make a proper decision.

I genuinely feel thick trying to see could I make out the actual blurred wording! And I’m not even going!!

I wonder who their plan B was should the script have felt they couldn't do it due to circumstances? Probably Picture this or other let downs

Perfect. Them doing Pet Sounds should be pretty cool. Hopefully no major clashes.

Plenty of showers on-site. There is the usual large setup in Hendrix but last year I used the ones circa 5/6 mins from the Eco entrance.

This is actually a good explanation. Looking at the timeline the death was a week before the second announcement. It probably also explains why the blurring looks nothing like The Script's logo and more like the collection of random symbols it likely is.

That being said, the band must have made the decision to play at least a few weeks ago. They would have had to confirm the availability of a replacement guitarist and arrange some rehearsal time.

Given this quote from the Guardian "Between 2010 and 2019, the band amassed more UK No 1 albums than any other Irish act" maybe FR thought the announcement would go down a lot better and didn't think they needed to leak it earlier. Or they saw the blurring was generating a lot of hype and assumed any backlash would be fleeting and not very damaging.

4,000 monthly listens on Spotify. I didn't expect these to be EA. Unless they are leading into Wolfe Tones?

Is The Script the mystery act in place of Lewis Capaldi or is another taking his place?

It is alright - was a bit nonplussed at first reading but did some research into the lineup for Terminus and I have to say 9x9 are now firmly on our list.

I wasn't keen at first but I'd made the mistake of listening to a Boiler Room set of theirs and it was pretty shite but it think that's a BR issue rather than their fault.

TRYM and Charlie Sparks on our list too. Weird that blk isn't in Terminus, must be in one of the main stages.

Chalk another one up for the Doof Doof.

    From BYE email this morning:

The Eco-Extension campsite won't operate this year. Accommodation is exclusively at the pre-book only Woodlands campsite with limited capacity for comfort. If Woodlands reaches full capacity, entry can't be guaranteed due to space constraints. Although the likelihood is low, the weekend's no-show rate is uncertain, necessitating awareness among all campers.

Considering space limitations, please avoid bringing oversized tents. Responsibly select a size fitting the occupants. FBI agents will assist in responsible camping placement through out the weekend. Also, we do not allow the use of Gazebos, they are too big and pose a hazard in high wind conditions.

They are also going to have Natasha's Food Truck in there.

    …^……<…./?::;;:::@"! ((((((*))))))#=)))))~

Pity about the add-on site, the rest is fair and sensible. There were too many there last year. I'd say if you're not heading down Thursday or first thing Friday, you could be in trouble.

Looking at the stage times on the app. I'm going to have to pace myself if I'm to still be standing for some of those Salty Dog sets!
