Opening Skylight Without Light Coming In.

Fix a shade or blind to restrict light.

Is it a window in the ceiling or a window on an outer wall as wondering if anything else can be fixed onto the side of it Photo?

is it top hung or center pivot.

either way all i can see you having to do is attach some material to the inside of the window and let it droop down and have that block the light. you could velcro or similar it on and add weighs to keep it from flapping

We are getting rid of our bedroom skylight for these reasons - heats the room up too much in summer, is noisy in rain and lets in light.

Tiles, insulation and plasterboard hopefully!
