Opening Skylight Without Light Coming In.

Is this at all possible? Need to open the window during the night to cool the room down, but doing so allows sun light into the room from as early as 4am in summer.

Fix a shade or blind to restrict light.

There's a blackout blind on the window. Doesn't stop light coming in when the window is open.

Is it a window in the ceiling or a window on an outer wall as wondering if anything else can be fixed onto the side of it Photo?

Simplest solution is to wear an eye mask (been there, done that!)

It's a Fakro skylight in the sloped ceiling.

Have you contacted them for other accessories as i see a fly screen which must be on frame as window is open , also blinds are listed on their site.

is it top hung or center pivot.

either way all i can see you having to do is attach some material to the inside of the window and let it droop down and have that block the light. you could velcro or similar it on and add weighs to keep it from flapping

fix a black { mosquito / fly screen }

to your ceiling opening?

We are getting rid of our bedroom skylight for these reasons - heats the room up too much in summer, is noisy in rain and lets in light.
