Slightly apprehensive about tomorrow but that's not necessarily a bad thing, I hope the squad are also on their toes. I guess the Bridge House is as good a meeting place as any before the game.

Any tips for a good place for parking in Tullamore. Will be trying to avoid the car parks in the centre of the town as looking to get on the road home fairly quickly afterwards. Thanks

A drop of rain will do us no harm. I remember getting soaked on hill16 early in the 2019 all Ireland final, it was brilliant!

That was some rain alright, I was in the back of the stand and still got soaked. Some craic..

    I'd favor Croke Park myself.

Craig Morgan's injury is a hamstring cramp, could feature next week.

For a double header yeah Croker but definitely not for a stand alone

😂 Surely, they're laying out the helicopter.

Can't be Croke Park, they have Tailteann Semi Finals.

Examiner said Cork were making a strong push for it and I've heard seperately from people in Cork (living down here) that PUC is preparing for a QF next weekend. We will see.

Our numbers were good today, considering. We outnumbered Offaly 2 maybe even 3 to 1. Everybody was predicting the opposite.

Tailteann are on Sunday, hurling is on Saturday.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 304 ✭✭Bobby_Bolivia

Right you are. I had it in my head that the Prov Football QFs were on the Sunday and Tailteann on Sat, it's the other way around.

Shame because I would have gone to one of the Football games if they were on the other day.

Bs, you’re getting more scores than minutes in todays match. GAA/NBA what’s exciting about hurling anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,589 ✭✭✭Stacksofwacks

Ah look thats another debate, Tipp were hungry today, the speed of their play Offaly couldnt live with and gave them a trouncing, of course AI qf against Galway will be a different game

the one thing that annoys me about offaly is they were very quick to enter the field 25 years ago in croker and sit down when the result was not going in there favor with 5 minutes to go in my opinion you get no luck for it any way

how well they didnt do it today when they were 35 points down , not even mick mcdonagh made a bust from behind the goal ,

ps , i am not one bit bitter from 1998 and that whole jimmy cooney thing

i reckon if tipperary win next week it will be a tipp v kilkenny final , i fancy them against limerick who are still an excellent side but like a good boxer on the ropes at the moment , momentum is a huge tool to carry in to one of these games and given how close the group game was i see little diffrence in an all ireland semi final , throw in the fitness of john mcgrath , and samie and it becomes advantage tipp

i fancy us against dublin next week but not against kilkenny in july , we have only beaten the cats once in championship and that was in our prime in 1997 , conor cleary wont be back and it seems we dont have a replacement for him at the moment

evolving tipp has me down as a bit of a mystic meg at the moment so back the horse while she is still running !!!

Some of their supporters can be right moaners. We heard enough of the moaning in the u20 final because Cork were deemed too physical and practicing the dark arts. Yes there were few incidents where Cork players should have been punished but Cork were clearly the better team and they were no where near Cork especially in the second half. They were never beating us when It came to it let's be realistic.

I had to laugh at the Offaly managers post match comments v Tipperary yesterday, he was pretty much laughing afterwards, and that there is a serious gulf in class etc., but thats not a good enough excuse and If he was managing my team and performed like that yesterday and get hammered by 7-38, I would be asking him to step down immediately. Yes there a gulf in class but Offaly should be at least some bit competitive like Carlow were against Dublin yesterday or else this Joe mac Donagh competition entering the fray into the Liam mc Carthy championship is an utter joke and complete waste of time for the teams involved. If they were beaten narrowly, you could say the team made progress. Carlow did well yesterday but I still don't know how they would do against a Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary or Clare. Would they by destroyed?

Tipp learned nothing yesterday about their team let's be honest. Galway will be the real test. Looking forward to that game should be a classic.

Any news on the venue yet? They’ll hardly send Galway to Cork. Double header in Croke park be ideal l think.

The hurling quarter finals are rarely in Croker. Not between teams from outside Leinster anyway.

Gaelic Grounds for Galway v Tipp and Thurles for Clare v Dublin makes most sense.

Cork now have a home preliminary football quarter final next Saturday after a shock win over Mayo today.

Cork off the table now as they have a home game in the football.

Galway also out next weekend in the football after their loss today so that should cut their support nicely.

Seems likely as above, it will be Gaelic Grounds and Semple.
