Given some of the bile I read here recently am absolutely delighted Cork are out. Doesn't take much for the we're-great-supporters-hang-on-til-I-sing-the-langer-song-and-am-really-funny mask to slip when the pressure comes on. Clare v Limerick will likely be played in Cork? They were edging for a potential Clare-Tipperary final by all accounts.

Never in doubt. You would think it will be played in Cork. More ticket sales for the grab all association.

Incredible weekend between the hurlers and Munster rugby! I thought we would beat Cork but I didn't think Waterford would help us out!

One of the best days I ever saw in PnG.

Full house, sun shining, Limerick county board actually put in effort. Cork crowd are always fantastic.

The aerial shots on RTE looked incredible.

Will see you after all with all the Tipp lads in Thurles for the Muster Final. Good man Dan you are a great value WUM I’ll give you that.

😂 Dan has gone missing. Probably curled up in shock somewhere. That's actually hilarious that post about them going to the Munster final. There's nothing better than arrogant bitter fans getting humbled

Canning looks to be struggling to hold back the tears on the Sunday Game. Doesn't even try to hide his hatred for Limerick anymore.

He needs a hurl in his hand he does not seem to know what to do with them in the studio!

Funny how all his examples of bad reffing went Limericks way. I'm sure he will have a similar analysis of the Galway game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,646 ✭✭✭washman3

He didn't give single example of the bad reffing that went Cork's way. Some of those frees awarded to Cork today were so soft that they wouldn't be awarded in a Ladies Football match, and a minor Ladies match at that. Some Cork folk even said it after the game.

Wouldn't even watch that sh1t all those muppets are fed their lines by Joanne

What a win, what a team!! Just love that team so much. They don't ever let us down and when they need to stand up most they come to the fore. Folks who haven't a clue think Cork should have won, Limerick dominated the second half and won that game deservedly. Our shooting went through bad patches, our tackling was loose, and we made mistakes but by god they improved. So much of our game was better and every game we are improving! So happy for Hegarty too, saw signs of his best self and Lynch got on a lot of ball too. A great day and a wonderful weekend in Limerick with Munster doing the business too

I didn't meet a single Cork person after the game who blamed.the ref.

Not actually sure Waterford have helped us out. Not sure another intense game with Clare in two weeks is what the team needs right now especially if it's lost. I was conditioned to being third and was happy with that path like in '18 with a nice three week break to recharge.

ìts the biggest flaw in the sunday game for years ,if they want to Analise the referee get a neutral ref to do it not some ex player with a vested interest in the game

and also give james ownes a break what repaly dose he have , yes i do believe that two frees against niall o'leary were soft today the penilty and a 21 meter free in the first half but he dosnt have a replay which means the Sunday game shouldn't run different angles either

people want to watch the highlights of games not ex players views on referees

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,069 ✭✭✭slegs

Even if we lose to Clare still better to be in Munster final as we would be meeting Dublin/Carlow instead of Galway/Kilkenny in a quarter final (if we had been 3rd). Offaly no gimme for Tipp either.

Definitely a better route than 3rd place

Going to buy a new one tomorrow thanks to Davy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,646 ✭✭✭washman3

Exactly. Same here. Many admitting they got soft frees.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,147 ✭✭✭Rosita

Do you think Limerick would struggle to beat Offaly? (Tipperary is irrelevant, we are talking about Limerick's alternative path). And on the basis of today would you not want to play Galway? I think Limerick could play anyone. It's rest and recuperation that concerns me.

    Playing badly

    written off

Well hey if that’s what you need to be in Munster final 😝

Ask any Clare supporters are they happy about facing us in a Munster final !!!

    Wahoo

    referee was a **** disgrace

    home advantage?

Apart from a legitimate penalty we got **** all

Credit to Cork for a cracker, players and fans did them proud. A proper hurling county

sad are the homes around garyowen is the opening lyric to the greatest rebel song of all time ,

men from cork , galway fermanagh and tyrone , however clare is the county of the martyr no one ever remembers the martyr the guy hiding in the ditch ready to pounce is the most dangerous opponent of all🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,909 ✭✭✭windy shepard henderson

be honest , was brian cody ever this honest with the media in kilkennys heyday , kiely is a gem in fairnes

i hope we win in two weeks time it seems more plausible this year then last given the injuries to key limerick players , but ye have improved game on game in Munster this year , we will have to play our best hurling against ye to lift the mackey, if we dont i will have zero complaints

the fact that mick mackey has just been named after the munster cup and limerick sneek back into contention makes me seriously question the Darwin Theory , however the improvement of limerick from week one to week 5 is almost similar to monkey hanging from a tree to sightings of big foot !!

    What bile?

That was a great game of hurling yesterday with no quarter asked or given under the pressure of knockout.

You're just a sad bitter individual.

Can't even accept a victory with a bit of class.
