He must have been VERY younger when the so called “affair” started

The person in question has been long reported to have left “under a cloud” from This Morning show- if he was “just” age of consent when the affair happened, he also knew this person “as a teenager” - so it all depends on what happened and when- I think his career is totally over.

Hope the “younger guy” is ok - but personally delighted we’ll never see this complete fraud of a presenter on TV again

There wasn't any revelation, the story has been out for ages.

But lot of people online saying there is more to come...a pattern of younger partners put it like that...sure we will see

Phillip Schofield's reputation is now truly in tatters. When he admits to having lied it leads you to wonder when he is telling the truth. I have a number of issues with Schofield looking on from a distance

1. He played the victim when he came out. It was such an emotional struggle blah blah blah. He lied to his wife and children for years. We now know he doubled down on that lie that he wasn't engaging in gay sex by now admitting he was in a relationship with an intern who worked for ITV. As an aside Eamonn Holmes's face is a picture at the start of the coming out clip where his wife Ruth introduces the segment.
2. He used his privileged position to skip the queue when Queen Elizabeth was lying in state. Even David Beckham more a global name than Schofield had the self awareness to queue.
3. He disowned his brother when he was found guilty of paedophilia. Yes what his brother did was horrific but you can still love the sinner even though you loath the sin. The optics seem to be that Schofield disowned the brother to try and save his TV career. It will seem even more bizarre if it turns out Schofield himself engaged in under age sex with the intern.

The first point might explain why Holly was less than gushing in her statement regarding him leaving the show they co hosted for years.

Everyone one and their mother who works in TV in England seems to hate Schofield. I'm starting to see why. Their is no doubt he is a very competent presenter but crikey his private life and off seem persona are complicated. I feel very sorry for his mother. To hear one son publicly disown another must have been hard. To have bother her son's reputation lie in tatters is an awful thing for her to witness.

I don't doubt some nutcases think like that but...

It seems pretty creepy if he knew this young guy since he was 12, got him a job, then moved him aside by the looks of it etc...I don't think a guy doing that to a young girl would get away with it either hopefully.

There were rumours about him for a long time, the whole crying on the sofa with Holly rang extremely hollow to me, again damage limitation as the story about the young colleague was out online, seemingly some horse trading going on with the papers on stories too.
