If you read the piece he said that they were "heading into transition". So you were wrong, he did use the word. (You're "didn't use it as an excuse" is shifting the goalposts.)

He, however, was right. They were heading into seven years of failure/transition. Looking back it was an early prediction of their current state of drift. But your hero did let the 'T' word slip alright.

His daughter Liz was Tipp PRO for a number of years.

Surprised with Shelly getting the start but I suppose when you concede 7 in 2 games some of that is coming back on the keeper.

Connolly in for added size and I'd expect him to settle back in the full back line. 

Think Bonnar was always earmarked for Limerick and he'll be asked to give it hell for 50 minutes.

Stacked bench also to drive it home if needed. 

Think it will be closer than what the bookies think, bit of a free shot as we should get past Waterford next week.

Don't know anything about her twitter but I always found her to be very efficient at a time when she was dealing with a lot of old dinosaurs and Tipp weren't going particularly well either.

Fantastic game. What an effort, deserved a draw at least. You could see the difference from last year in the number of blocks hooks and tackles. Encouraging displays from the younger players such as Bowe bodes well

Cracking game. Whole new level of intensity for many of the new lads.

Bryan O Mara was my man of the match. He took lots of ball from the back and the goalkeeper and made great use of it, often under immense pressure, Ronan similarly, his distribution was immense.

Bonnar was worth his place. Mark Kehoe had a great first half, poor second half. The Tipp backs made some fantastic blocks. We left their half backline lots of space in the second half, we were lucky it didn't cost us more. Stakelum got through some amount of tackles.

So a couple of weeks back half the country ( mainly joe Duffy listener types who never went to a match) were up in arms over the Cork tipp match being on gaago. Now they're up in arms because the tipp Waterford match is NOT on gaago! I said at the time that because of the likes of donal og and other muppets we will end up back where we were years ago and only get to see few games on tv.
