Lads Brian Kerr knows more about football than most of the other pundits put together, he knows every player in Europe so his knowledge can’t be questioned.

I get that some people don’t like his delivery or whatever but I think he’s a breath of fresh air to be honest and not overly media trained and bland like 99% of the rest

Sums up the fai that the man who won 2 European championships with Ireland underage and came third in the world ( unbelievable when you think about it ) has been shunned and not involved n youth development. He should be running the underage set up

C’mon my friend, the boy should never be let near a mic.

Just shut the f**k up and let us enjoy the game.

NO problems with his off air qualifications and talents but co-commentary..not a chance.

If only he had a nice D4 accent, eh Bren ? Maybe you should stick to watching the rugger.

I’ll stick to watching anything where the co-commentator doesn’t drown out the actual commentator and allow me to relax and enjoy the game in peace.

I have simple tastes, my friend!

    Dont ask for too much.

Nearly 4 years later and the same poster is still whining about Brian Kerr.

Have you a point to make, my friend.

Points that were valid four years ago surely are still valid.

You don't like him, we get it! Banging on about it for 4 years on an internet forum isn't going to change anything!

Well after 4 years it has made f*ck all difference! If you want to complain contact RTE and let them know how you feel!

It's a pity Kerr doesn't actually work for RTE any more. When he was on co-commentary for the euros and world cup he used come out with some absolute gold!!

Favourite was from 2014 "He got a bang of Maxwell's elbow, not his silver hammer"

I'd love if he did the giggly slot with the hosts on Drivetime. That'd be Bendar gold.

I watched a game on BT Sport yesterday..commentator Ian Darke and Co com. was Ally McCoist.

Like a well driven stick shift car, no screeching , no jumping, no ragged starts, all cruised along smoothly

well balanced without any of the whine or over talking the main com.

VM should take the lad on a basic course of how to co commentate from professionals like those two.

’Dont blow out the clutch pal’ would be a good title
