Charlie: "I remember the North strand bombing..."

Joe: "You know the North Strand bombing?"

    Charlie: "Yes?"

    Joe: "Do you remember it?"

My Great Grand Mother from Cavan gave all her money to the church, to have masses said. I had heard about it in verbal family history, until last week when I was given the paper work for it. Some of the letters are interesting, reading between the lines it seems back in the 1940s PPs were know to pocked a few bob!

Lots of people of that generation left money in their will for Masses to be said for repose of their soul. I had a copy of my great-grandfather’s will and iirc about £100 was left for Masses, and that was first part of 1900s 😱
