Hi,

I placed in top 5, panel batch 1. I completed pre clearance (qualifications) and location pref mid November and havnt heard a thing since. Does anyone know how long it would normally take to be placed? I'm worried something has gone wrong

I contacted HR today to ask if they had started pulling from the batch 2 panel and they replied saying they are still working through batch 1. Of love to know how big batch 1 was to get an idea.

Thanks @lisabiscuit. Here’s hoping ! I was looking at the latest promotional list and there was a good few internal EO promotions listed. Hopefully it keeps moving like that and they get through the 1st batch.

Could it be that one or more of the people ahead of you haven't completed clearance yet?

I was wondering about this earlier today - must the candidates be assigned to jobs in order of place on panel, regardless of how long their clearance takes?

@Onthefence Good point, I presume it would be order of place on panel. Maybe that's why taking so long

@Job_seeker So pas are up to 798 OOM, does that mean they have asked up 798 to express interest in an interview or 798 have been interviewed? I am mid 800s and didn’t expect to be called so quickly

I passed my interview back in Nov and was told which department I'd be going to. There's been zero contact since. Just a waiting game.

I'm in the exact same situation. Top 5, batch 1. Everything cleared. I was told my department but it's been radio silence since. Hopefully not too long more.

Hi it’s actually both EOI and called for interview are 798.

I'm not sure if it’s moved since I contacted them. Interested to hear if you get an EOI.

@CosmicTurnip Can I ask at what stage dept was assigned? Was it after garda clearance?

Asking as I sent qualifications and location pref, no dept assigned but have not been asked for Garda clearance yet

I just got my results today. I passed :) it says I'm in batch 5. My original OOM was in the 420s. I interviewed last Wednesday, for context.

@Babatunde Yes, it was after Garda clearance and references. Here's how it went for me (YMMV):

Was asked for Garda clearance, references, etc.

I returned them two days later.

About two weeks later again, I got a message that included what dept I would be going to.

So, it was a little under three weeks from Garda clearance to being told my dept. That's before Christmas. I've heard nothing since. Hope this helps.

I got notification this morning that I passed the interview. Also got notification to submit qualifications.

Does anybody know what order the next steps are? Do they notify you what dept you may be offered or seek references etc first?

I know it can take some time but just interested as to the order of the steps

can I ask what county you interviewed for? I got the same for Offaly. Judging by past comments it goes to pre clearance checks next so references/Garda vetting and then you’ll be notified which Dept.
