Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When the draw is made tomorrow a few players will automatically qualify depending on the pairings. Hopefully Dylan makes it

Dylan should have enough already as long as he doesn't get beaten 6-0 in the first game tomorrow. Sherrock will probably need to pick up another point.

Interesting line from the Eu qualifier.

Pascal Rupprecht has secured his Tour Card if he doesn't play the fourth tournament.

So if he plays and gets beat 6-0 in the first round, there's an outside chance he could be out on his legs difference. Ronny Huybrechts also on 9 points is not secure due to a lower legs difference. I presume someone has told Pascal to have a lie in tomorrow morning :)

Yeah that oddity was in place for phase 1 as well, some players were better off not playing the last day. It's a weakness in the system imo. To progress or get a card via the OoM (as opposed to direct qualification) it should be mandatory to play each day

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,708 ✭✭✭roosterman71

^^^ Does Pascal (must have Irish blood in him!) only lose the card if others below him all win enough points? I don't see how 8 players could get enough points to knock him out. And even if he doesn't play, surely the others can still overtake. Whats the difference in sitting it out versus turning up but being hammered in the opening round?

Sherrock needs a bit of a run tomorrow too. She's outside on legs score now. I reckon 7 points will be needed minimum to get a card and her +10 in legs seems a bit low

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭boomdocker

Ya, she needs a bitof a run

Hope she does, to come through the qualifiers and get one of these 9 golden tickets takes some doing

Big John Henderson and Jamie Lewis will need deep runs tomorrow to regain their cards

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,508 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

I'd guess it's not possible for enough people to catch his points and his current leg difference (even with 6-0 victories) if he sits out.

But if his leg difference was worse by 6 (i.e., he lost 0-6 in his first game tomorrow), then it becomes mathematically possible for him to be overtaken.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,508 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

That sounds perfectly reasonable at first glance.

But what about when someone misses Day 1 (late flight, medical appointment) and proceeds to go runner-up, semi-final, runner-up on the next 3 days? Would seem madness to deny them the card that they are clearly merited.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Fair point AJ. Must play the final day then. No advantage to be gained by missing an early day in terms of knowing it gets a player through

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Dylan slevin got a bye to next round. Just needs one win to guarantee a card.

Fallon got a bye so shes 1 win away from picking up a point

Disappointing that Thibalt Tricole misses out on a card again this year. It would be great to have a French player on the tour and he is an excellent player on his day. He was beaten in L128 today though so is out.

I also just saw that Jamie Lewis isn't playing today so no card for him. What's going on there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

On thedartsforum they reckon 6 with a +15 leg differential will be the cutoff, subject to change of course. Slevin is 6 with +14 rn.

They are an odd bunch on TDF mind

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

His compatriot Jacques Labre is still in and only a point off the oom spot

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

    Conor Henaghan was knocked out

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Two huge wins for Irish players in Culleton and Rosney who beat the in-form Adam Warner and Keegan Brown respectively who are both on 7 points.

Very tough to be a fallon sherrock supporter. So many times the door is left wide open for her by her opponent and then she just shuts the door on herself. A real roller coaster of emotions lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Fallon beaten in her first match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,578 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Slevin wins to move to 7 points and through I think

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Slevin wins and goes to 7. Surely that's enough?

Only Dylan Slevin, Michael Flynn and Stephen Rosney left.

Flynn will need a run to semi to be in with a chance

Rosney will need to win outright

Slevin should have enough points but may need an extra point just to be safe

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

With a 96 average too. She actually played well all week, will be hugely disappointed not to get a card. She needs to play the challenge tour this year to try and improve. There's no point just playing womens tour and exhibitions.

Great stuff from Slevin, he should have enough now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Jacques Labre into the quarters. On the verge of becoming first Frenchman winning a pdc tour card

    Edit: confirmed tour card winner

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Fallon Sherrock played well all week and it's just the fine margins that denied her, but she's a proven good player and just needs to continue to play higher standard games.

Brilliant comeback by Michael Flynn over Graham Hall to win 6-5 which keeps Hall beneath Slevin.

Keegan Brown is the first confirmed qualifier from the order of merit.

    Slevin now facing Osborne.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Ronny Huybrechts finishes on 9 points and guaranteed a place.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

John Henderson and Max Hopp both fail to retain their tour cards

Ryan Harrington beaten so 7 points get a card.

Lee Evans, Adam Warner, Dylan Slevin and Stephen Burton all get places on the tour.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Dylan Slevin confirmed tour card holder.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Michael Flynn hammers Adam Hunt. Has a outside chance if he can get to semi final.

    Rosney giving Andy Hamilton trouble

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Unfortunately Flynn was hammered in his next match.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Slevin may even win this outright. Playing well enough to.

Christian Perez of the philippines wins a tour card. Supposed to have turned down a place in bahrain to focus on Q-School

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Adam Smith-Neale wins the tour final card.

Some achievement by Dylan Slevin to finish top of order of merit.

Keegan Brown was the only UK player to regain their tour card

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

Happy for Brown. Seems like a good lad.

  • Registered Users Posts: 543 ✭✭✭yew_tree

Have list of players from development and challenge tour who qualify for the UK open been officially announced? Saw a few lists on Twitter but nothing from an official source?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,629 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Not a fan of Browns usually but the way he handled defeat (and losing his card) at the WC’s, I’m happy to see him win his card back

    https://www.dartsrankings.com/

Click on 'Secondary Tours' and you'll see that info

Not an official source as such but the person behind that site is always on the ball

edit: apologies I misunderstood your question, though u were looking for the tour card winners from those tours

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,672 ✭✭✭TheChrisD

Richard Veenstra gets a tour card! Glad to see him finally breaking through to the big leagues.

  • Registered Users Posts: 437 ✭✭TipsyMcStagge

Yes there's some controversy over Adam Smith-Neale seemingly he conned a load of people out of money for memorabilia online.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 600 ✭✭✭thebronze14

Got to feel for Conan Whitehead. He would have gotten a card if he hadn't played the final day

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,496 ✭✭✭Will I Am Not

That’s rough. On the flip side, Robbie Knops was going to go home instead of playing the final day but his missus persuaded him to play it and he won it outright.
