There's a great hack on PC that does this called the VR performance toolkit. I noticed frame rate gains of at least 30fps when using it. Great if you're on an old gtx1080 like me or trying to run demanding games.

PSVR games not compatible with PSVR2

Psvr2 upgrades of beat sabre, astrobot, thumper, super hot and walking dead with free copies for everyone who owns psvr1 versions. 👍👍👍👍

I'll take Until You Fall too for the updated tracking and neon colour scheme. Love that game.

I have to keep my PS4 anyway for the 3D Blu Ray functionality... so I'll always have the PSVR backlog titles to play and then move onto the PS5 for the new games. I doubt I'll rebuy any on the new system.

Yeah was more a wishful thinking list of games Id like to see. The only one I think has a chance is beat saber. Walking Dead has the sequel coming up.

As CastorTroy says you can use PSVR on PS5. I guess if 3d movies are the final hurdle you could try this and have the option to upgrade to ps5 sooner if you want:

Im hoping Sony sort 3d movies for PSVR2 but Im not sure they will.

The PSVR2 will launch on 22nd February 2023 and cost £530. In the US, that's $550. In Europe, that's €600. For that price you'll get a PSVR2 headset and its controllers, plus a pair of stereo headphones

A pricier bundle will pack-in the PSVR2 launch title Horizon Call of the Mountain. That costs £570, $600, or €650.

I'd imagine Smyths will be onboard, Gamestop as well, so could be worth a look around the 15th. Sony don't directly sell through the Irish market unfortunately.

Anyone heard anything about where you can preorder PSVR2 in Ireland? Suppose to be live on Tues 15 Nov. I'm guessing Smyths or Gamestop be the best bet but not seen anything confirming

Seem to be tonnes of PS5s suddenly in stock! I'm still going to hold off until the PSVR2 comes out, or reckon the the PS5s might go back out of stock later?

Debating digital vs disc. I think the last physical disc I bought was back around 2018, and I've never actually removed it from the PS4 since then. I never buy games new, and never sell them on.

I guess it depends on what comes with the PSVR2 headset. If a disc comes with it I guess I'll opt for disc version of the PS5 and that will then be the disc that never leaves it for the following 6 years.

3 x PS5 games is more than the entire number of physical games I bought for my PS4 since 2016 or whatever

I also don't play online, so won't get my account "banned" for spouting nazi propaganda ;)

Whereas Gamestop are all over the shop with Pre-order ads and a date in Feb (22nd I think?)

Gamestop sent an e-mail saying up to 50% extra trade credit for trading in a PS4 Pro.

Held my Pro after buying a PS5, partly as it was the desirable RDR2 bundle model that was very quiet.

Tempted to trade it in though, as it has been sitting there for a year, not even turned on.

I was offered 240 with the bonus. 210 without.

My controller had no sticker on it (serial number) so that affected the total.

Offered to include an unopened controller i have, but the system still gave the above price.

Said i would call back in next Monday, as the offer was new.

I was hoping for 280-300 (with the 50% added bonus)
