Thank you Denismc! I've never noticed that. Pity it doesn't show that information in a manner like ABRP does in the main map screen when navigating to a charger.

A few months ago Kia /Hyundai announced a new TomTom nav system so perhaps our cars will receive an improved interface in time.

Yeah, the layout isn't great but at least you're using your phone.

Does anyone know the name of the vessel they come in to cork on?

Has anyone else been told theirs is on a ship, this week?

Did anybody waiting for the March batch of Platinum cars receive any update yet?

We ordered a platinum back in July, for Jan delivery…. But not looking likely at this stage. @xboxdad - when did you order?

I'm the same, my car has been there since early December

We ordered 1+ month ago, but I think earlier orders (maybe like yours?) were affected massively and now it's supposed to be back on track. The dealer said end of March 1st, but also said Hyundai were saying mid-March when they spoke to them. We could only pick from a very limited selection of cars that were due to arrive in March. Any other color & it'd be May+ they said.

Has anyone had problems with Android Auto randomly disconnecting? I've tried two different phones and an AAWireless dongle, as well as several cables including one explicitly mentioned as having been approved for use with Android Auto. It's always the same, it randomly disconnects which makes it pretty useless.

I'm starting to wonder if I need to make it a warranty issue. The in-dash nav is fine most of the time, but not for navigating to Eircodes for example.

A few owners on the Ioniq forum in the US seem to have had the data USB port replaced for this as a 'known issue'

I picked up my Platinum 77kw yesterday. 50 weeks since I put down my deposit.

Will try to get some pics later if the weather cooperates.

Mine died over in Scotland in the autumn. Just wouldn't connect to any phone, using any cable. Had previously been fussy and refused to charge my Pixel whilst connected.

Had it in the garage for the recall and was told it would need booked in for some deeper delving behind the dash. Need to get it booked in again. But yeah I believe it's a common issue.

Im just glad that the connected sat nav is reasonably good as had to rely on it for for quite a bit.

Thats the colour and spec we really wanted but the our order was cancelled. Not the end of the world though as we ended up with a Black Executive Plus 73KW.

Its a serious looking car in Teal though.

Executive Plus trim really does look great with the black. I like the uniformity.

Good to see all the new cars, lads. They all look great. Almost exactly one year to the day when the missus got hers. Not so much as a paint chip as yet, she still loves it..

Well wear everyone, Teal green probably the nicest colour.

Watch out for those charging cables though! Can be a bit of a trip hazard 😁

The manual for this car is some beast! The quick guide alone is 160 pages long.

Did anyone else's car come with a really old version of infotainment software?

Car did update to July 2022 as I was driving home from dealer yesterday & then I updated to November 2022 OTA myself this morning.

So what's the story with charge level, are you supposed to limit the AC and DC charging to 80% as best practice or is it okay to go to 100% all the time if it's not going to be standing idle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,646 ✭✭✭yer man!

Mine did download a big file when I started the bluelink thing. The sat nav was very out of date, was bring me down loads of streets in Dublin that were now bus lanes.

Ioniq 5 executive 58 kWh updated (increased) pricing and spec for January. I understand that this was 39k if ordered in 2021.

Ioniq 5 platinum 77 kWh pricing and spec.

You will note the subject to change on the platinum spec.

I always charge to 100% on AC at home, and generally to 80-90% on DC when I'm charging on the road.

Ah perfect, this is what I was thinking. Have to say, I've been smiling all day with this thing, absolutely love it
