Stupid ITV making me think an England win won't be that bad with that Jordan Henderson piece,

I need a French story now to get me back into the right mentality 🤣

Wonder if Deschamps used this as motivation:

Very worried now that England might do this and then go all the way. I'm going to say a France win by a goal but I've a bad feeling about this.

Just remembered from earlier in the thread, didn't Eto predict Morocco to make it to the final?! 🤣

Once you are saved from the crime against music that is God Save Chaz by the glorious La Marseillaise you will be back to normal.

Jesus, can you imagine the Sun if it’s England Argentina in the Final ? Hand of God, Falklands, etc, Rattin in 66 will probably get dragged up too. Alf Ramseys “animals” quote.Uggh.

Ya, if I was sitting here unde a portrait of the Queen with a can of Carling in my hand, I'd probably shed a single solitary tear down my sovereign cheek. It was great propaganda TBF.

i have an odd feeling that you have predicted the wrong winner every single time in this thread so far but then we all did the same.

Hopefully it’s not a cagey slow game and one side gets an early goal to liven it up.

So the fact that many football fans haven't watched a single minute is all forgotten about because you say so? I've not heard anything from anyone thinking it half as amazing as your last few posts. It seems forgettable enough.

I think if you were it would be prounounced Proper Gander!

Problem is I am based in England, tough times that I got them in the sweepstake too.

    Come on France!

Although a bit convoluted that was a horrible stat on ITV. England have never beaten a top team in knockout stages of a comp on foreign soil. So I guess that means Brazil, Arg, Spain, France, Italy, Germany and possibly Portugal.

I might be killed for saying it, but this isn’t the most unlikeable England team. The fans are insufferable, as always, but aside from Jordan Pickford and maybe Kane a little bit, the England players don’t have that same air of arrogance about them this year.

Would I want to see them win the tournament though? Hell no.

C'mon France, do us all a favour and beat England.

If Mbappe & Messi get to the final Neymar won't return to PSG till next March.

    Decent start from England.

That header was too good by Giroud. Straight at Pickford.

England predictably being overwhelmed in transition here. Hard to see them keeping France goalless tonight.

    That Henderson run back haha

It was Pitch Perfect 3 biting the bullet last night. If this game goes to extra-time and penalties tonight, we can be spared Legally Blonde 2 Red, White and Blonde following on after this match on RTE2.

Beautiful strike and goal for France. 1-0.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

    Terrible from Pickford

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,547 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Looked like a pretty clear foul on Saka in the buildup there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,448 ✭✭✭Tandey

    Wonder strike!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

What a magnificent strike !! Out of nowhere

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

England want the goal chalked off.

    But the goal stands.
