Could it be drunken Russians put in the wrong coordinates? I've seen some people online say its possible but I haven't checked myself.

    Kyiv 50.4501N 30.5234E

    Lviv 49.842957N 24.031E

    The Polish village 50.4501N 24.031E

Can someone not put an end to him? Has all the obnoxiousness of the worst American nutters like Alex Jones or Tucker, but with a cold malice on top. Vile piece of work

Like when you think about it.

There is a country right now deliberately bombing the infrastructure of a country it illegally invaded so their people will freeze and go hungry with no light or electricity during the winter.

How in gods name is this been allowed in the 21st century??

From a country that is still sitting on G20 and the UN???

Have we just become numb to Russias behaviour?

Do you not realise yet what sort of an abomination of a ‘human’ the world/west has to deal with here….a totally unpredictable / paranoid / revisionist / nut job who is capable of absolutely anything……including dropping nuclear ☢️ fission bombs……unfortunately the Ukrainians are the in the middle of all this and are getting batter left right and centre……there is no clear end in sight and who has any idea how this war will end😡😡. The so called ‘essays’ / tripe / rant he wrote last year justifying this whole debacle is more evidence of an utterly twisted depraved individual……further reinforced by what he did in Chechnya and Georgia plus the other ‘fiend’ he supports in Syria …😡😡

The thing is in Russia, criminality is part of the system, and to survive, you have to become part of it too!!! So everyone has to become criminal to a greater or lesser extent. Get stopped by the police at a checkpoint (income generating project) wind down the window for the policeman, who duly salutes you, and say's " Document's" you hand them over, and after looking at them briefly, he says "problem", fine 500 Rubles. And you say "500 Rubles??? for what??? and he says, " You want a reason? Under the Russian Legal code for vehicles, there are 5'000 rules and regulations. Now which page do you want me to open? Pay up and smile. 😎

Several explosions were reported in Donetsk

Those aren't the exact coordinates for the village, it's 6/7 kilometres away from where the missile(s) fell..

But it turns out if you do look at the proper coordinates for the village.. in the area of Lviv there is the 'State Aircraft Repair Plant' just a few hundred metres away, and in the area of the Kiev coordinate there is a rake of possibilities, airfields, hospitals, tv centers.. a drunk Russian somehow putting in the wrong coordinate is bullshit imo, but a possible software malfunction mixing up possible locations now seems a lot more likely to me than it did when I first decided to check out the coordinates

An explanation as to why Russia are bringing older tanks out of storage instead of newer ones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,142 ✭✭✭prunudo

If it was Russians directly involved, a software issue or coordinate mix up why are Nato saying it was Ukrainian. And seem to be pretty categorical about it too.

Surely if it was Russian they would be making it very clear that a line had been crossed, what is to gain from misleading the real suspected source.

Well worth watching, its true to life in Russia in the time it represents. Still plenty of disintegrating industrial concrete monstrosities there though, when you leave the city's, and the farm collectives with the big concrete arches at their entrances showing prime examples of whatever that farm produced.

Because NATO haven’t the balls to directly confront Russia?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,004 ✭✭✭ForestFire

If it was a "genuine" mistake of inputting of incorrect data, or some kind of SW glitch, then would Nato really get involved anyway, for such an accidental strike?

Maybe they know, but are holding back, simply so as not to escalate to something 100 times worse and may not control, because of this error, but don't want it public. Maybe they know Putins time is up, due to internal pressure/coup etc., and there is no need to push him on this event and allow him to completely lose the plot, before he is taken out.

Or they are preparing something, and do not what to broadcast it.

Or it did come from Ukraine.

    There are so many possibilities.

Maybe they realise that since this attack on Ukraine from russia has always been a ploy to suck NATO into a direct confrontation they still think it is best to stay a step back. Maybe putin sees his only chance to save face with the way the war in Ukraine is going is to say he has been attacked by NATO like he said from the start was the reason he moved troops into Ukraine. Maybe playing down the explosion in Poland whoever was the one to launch the missile(s) that landed there has been deemed to be the best way to undermine putin and make it even more obvious to the russian people that he has been lying to them continuously and he in reality is the problem that they now face destroying their country and not NATO.

I wager NATO is waiting for a second strike in Polish territory. That then cannot be the old accident. Show of strength after that sinking some ship with a missile with a huge NATO decal on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 287 ✭✭dennis72

NATO knows where these 2 missiles came from.

They will retaliate discretely but keep the lying Russians guessing.

No need to add fuel to the fire yet.

Destroying the Russian army on the Battle field has to be accelerated

Inflict as much hardship on that army so it will never fight again.

Shame on the west/world allowing civilian distruction and devastation by a terrorist state.

2014 was the time to stop it, then leaders looked the other way

Those coordinates don't hit the village of Przewodów where the missle landed. Maddening how many thanks you got and not one person bothered to Google them.

We're splitting hairs here, okay the coordinates aren't shot on for the village, but those coordinates could be right for the bomb site!

Okay let's move the coordinates from Mullinabreena's post to Przewodów village (approx 8km from the original location). There's a few grain silos beside the village at 50.4745N 23.921E, let's use their location for an example, guess what, the new coordinates still land in Kviv and Lviv.

Kyiv 50.4745N 30.5234E (approx. 800m from a bridge over the Dnipro River)

Lviv 49.842957N 23.921E (approx. 500m from a rail line or 3km from Danylo Halytskyi International Airport)

The missles landed 12km away from the supposed coordinates of the missile site shared by that poster. You can't just go picking other sites along 50° North looking for patterns here.

"You can find any pattern you want to any level of precision you want as long as you're prepared to ignore enough data."

It (the mistaken coordinates) does sound like one of those conclusions reached by Twitter/Youtube experts - they sound good at first, but aren't really based on facts. There was that "they tried to hit the interconnector line on the border" explanation as well, which sounded like a thing someone would come up with just to get a lot of views.

Minister Coveney on Morning Ireland now discussing that Russian banned list:

Reading between the lines I would say there are no SF names on it, nor PbP or Clare or Mick either!!!

I'm no fan of Russia, I wish someone would take Putin out the yard and pug him down like a dog, but this line

"Shame on the west/world allowing civilian distruction and devastation by a terrorist state."

I'm sorry but western countries have been doing this for decades now and there was hardly a peep out of anyone.

There does not appear to be a list. The Russians named 6 and said there were 52. They might be struggling with the spelling given their well known level of incompetence, or they might just be too lazy to make a list.

That is absolute utter Rubbish, you have clearly had your head buried somewhere for 60 years since the Vietnam protests.
