Any interest in this Seiko cocktail for 230 posted nationally? I bought it from fellow member Frankie5Angels a while back- it's a lovely watch, but I just don't need or wear dressier pieces. I probably have a spare Seiko box, but assume a generic box and no warranty card thingy.

Anyone interested in a Tudor Black Bay 58 blue on bracelet, bought new in November 2020. All boxes, papers etc. included.

Looking to put it up for sale properly in the next week or so, just haven’t gotten around to doing so yet.

Also have a vintage Universal Geneve Ferrovie dello Stato for sale, MKII. In great condition, no idea when it was last serviced but runs nicely and keeps good time.

Managed to sell another one via ebay, after no interest whatsoever here.

    Another 3-500 range watch.

Fees are steep, but it's gone.

That's me done now, down to just three regular wearers, a manual chrono, a quartz one and an auto three hander.

Not sure if the pieces I had recently were of limited appeal or what but never had a sniff on the domestic sites.

11% up to a couple of grand. Chrono's 6.5% doesn't seem so bad (just wish they allowed private sellers to set a fixed price).

Where do you list, ebay.ie and then set eu wide? It's a hassle posting to the UK or do ebay take the paperwork out that and pre pay import chargers.

Looks like my Zenith is sold - shame as I loved the look of it, but it was just too big. A bit of a costly trial period, but them's the breaks. Thinking of a Navitimer or McQueen Monaco to replace it.

As was said, its about 11% witht he fees and charges.

They seem to look after destination VAT etc, as it went to the UK and I didn't need to adjust anything except print the invocie and the label.

All fairly easy, but you have to overprice to as not to get rinsed yourserlf.

Yeah the 11% does make Chrono24 look like a decent option. I know I've mentioned it here before but I always find reddit's r/watchexchange and watchuseek to give plenty of response too.

Yup, for anything over 500, CHrono24 is the way to go. I've sold successfully on it and it is a vastly nicer process than eBay.

Though I had good experiences with eBay this time, it is still a but fraught in case someone throws a wobbly.

I think history will look back on the PO and realise the 2500 variants as being the best of the PO line up. Selling my orange bezel PO last year for not a lot of money is one of my few regret.

The prices are through the roof now for any planet ocean, the orange bezel is my personal fav

If only the orange bezel 45.5mm one had a sunburst blue dial, I'd have one!

Some say they wear a bit funny, never tried one on.

Always thought some of the Planet Oceans were amongst the best looking marine themed watches around. I keep having a little look every now and then. The orange bezel one is one of them. Really nice. Sadly POs are all huge, most of them well over 40mm.

There is a ‘unisex’ 39.5mm version of a lot of them now.

My Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue pictured above is finally up on adverts (I’m not allowed post links yet), €3150 asking but obviously negotiable for anyone with serious interest!

Universal Geneve is gone via Chrono24, as mentioned above it is probably a better place to sell than eBay these days.

Thats some claim to fame for that watch...eek. You know who that guy is right? Google John McManus watches and then go disinfect your wrist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭H_Lime

That is news to me lol!

    Should I put up the price now I know it's (in)famous :)?

As to the watch is as new, unworn, keeps great time and is going for an absolute song at 150e.

Has you sold this Eoin? What's the model ref? Not certain if it's blue or grey from your photo. It's tempting me. I've always liked the Cocktail time, but like you I know I'd only wear it the handful of times a year I wear a shirt and tie. Still would be nice to have it as dress watch option though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,770 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Is it the 38mm or 42mm version? Prospective buyers might wanna know.

Used to own the 38mm myself, kinda miss it seeing this one. Great looking watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,877 ✭✭✭H_Lime

It's 38mm. Non Swan neck original movement keeping good time.

Sapphire crystal front and back (coated back)

18mm lugs on a green nato.

And the reason for sale is I have two.

I've been wearing the one on my wrist daily spanners, using power tools, hammering and generally trying to kill it but have not been able. Column wheel chrono is a joy to behold and use imo.
