Second this. I parked there on the Friday when I went to the gig. Also parked there yesterday when picking up my brother from yesterday's show. Very handy location.

Radio gaga from Freddie Mercury tribute show is played on the screens prior to concert starting. Think it's to grab some audience clapping to stick into the released show when the time comes

Seems to be slight chances to the setlist so far. Mostly in the middle of the set and with the encore

I have 3 family members going this weekend and a coworker.

3 out of the 4 spell it like in that stupid banner. Gareth. I've noticed from text exchanges and speaking with them. His Irish fans they all seem to think it's 2 syllables and say it like it rhymes with parrot.

It's one syllable and rhymes with hearth. How can so many of his diehard fans get it wrong. I guess the friends in low places don't put an emphasis on such things as grammar and spelling.

Concert was OK,nothing to get too excited about we were in the pit, glad I went but don't think I'd go again if he ever came back

The exact same! I probably expected allot more for such a big name - couldn’t hear the backing singers - the songs I knew he sang them ok but there was no wow factor - nothing that made me go omg I see it now - after every song the clapping for 3/4 minutes drove me nuts I was like there is no flow to this concert at all - no big medley where you could dance etc - would I go again NO happy I went but if I enjoyed Nathan Carter more in VickerStreet that says allot!

It was definitely missing something for me the flow of the concert was weird to me - the clapping after each song like it was his last drove me insane lol 😂 glad I went but wouldn’t go again.

100% agree he thought he was god with how he carried on I really couldn’t get into the swing of it and it was over before I thought to myself is that it? The sound was awful and when he started I was like that’s not Garth singing is it LOL cousin said yeah it’s him she saw him Friday also we were there Saturday and she went again with us - one time only for me I couldn’t go again if you paid me LOL

There was someone praying for us because the rain cleared away for the concert. It was a fantastic gig. The walk back into the city afterwards was brutal. I was disappointed after the concert because I wanted to buy some merchandise but it seemed as if that was closed off and we were just shoveled out the stadium like a cattle mart. I needed a loo too but had to wait til I got to the city. Very hard walk. Good gig.

I think Garth was very genuine. I think the pausing between each songs was him trying to take in the sheer magnitude of what was in front of him.

We were traveling from Galway and had concert bus tickets booked but was kind of peed off about the distance from the bus park to the concert. I wouldn't be a great walker. So we drove to maynooth and got the train to Drumcondra and only had a 5 min walk from there to the gig. Same on return leg no long wait at station. Train came and went fast to maynooth

Anyone know if the Maynooth trains are stopping at Drumcondra? I thought I heard they may not be for a couple of hours before but I may be wrong

The walk was brutal?? It's only a 20 minute walk back to city centre. 25 minute max. What's brutal about it.

If you need to use the toilet so bad, why didn't you go into one of the pubs around Croke Park. There are bars right beside the stadium.

I was at Saturday night, and when the concert finished, people just turned around and headed for the exit. No-one was "shovelling" us. You can't expect to be asked to leave in single file at a concert with approx 80,000 in attendance. What exit strategy would you have proposed as an alternative.

A lot of rural folk wouldn't be used to the type of walking city people do on a daily basis.

Read that and was shocked too, not just this poster, there's been a few on boards and other spots. So many in Ireland are totally addicted to cars for 1.5k trips.

why? A 20 minute walk is a 20 minute walk no matter where you are from. Are people gone very soft recently?

A lot of rural people drive everywhere and are unused to cycling/walking/scooting/skating to work/school, running for buses and trams etc. City people tend to be fitter and more used to this type of exercise.

Just look at the amount of posts on this thread about parking as close as possible to the venue and the others complaining about a quick 20 minute walk.

I get you all right but god help some of them if they had to do some real exercise.

I'm not a stranger to walking. I didn't have any issues going to the stadium. Coming out and I was following the crowds and I had Google maps and directions open. It seems as if I was lead around in circles around the stadium. I'm not familiar with the streets. At one point I looked at the map and it said 12 minutes to my destination. I continued walking straight according to the map and directions and with the crowds. What felt like a good 5 or 10 minutes later, the map was still reading 12 minutes. The show finished about 10.15 last night and we were out quickly from the stadium. It was 11.15 by the time I saw something familiar in the city - The Quays. So what was supposed to be a 20 minute walk was far from it. Maybe it's 20 minutes if you know your way.
