OK, know David (Bruce) Banner and Hulk, Thor and I'm presuming Matt Murdock/Daredevil but who's the figure running under and the person top right?

    This too shall pass.

found the original article that image came from, seems to be from a mini documentary

    https://www.ign.com/videos/the-incredible-mcu-that-time-forgot-ign-inside-stories

The woman is a spy called Jasmin not sure about the person running

Looks like a jogging "Flash" Oh. Wrong company

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,557 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Going by the video and the image, it looks like Jasmin (a not Black Widow) running.

I remember liking Trial of the Incredible Hulk. Barely remember the other 2.

Disney to announce 4 new Marvel movies at D23 is trending on Twitter.

There also seems to be a social media call to recast T'Challa

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 36,694 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Pointless. They've clearly already killed him off as part of the story for the already filmed and soon to be released BP2. Unless they go with a multiverse version of him, he's dead.

I think it's potentially do with Shuri possibly taking over the mantle... Comics aside people don't seem to be happy with it happening on the big screen

If not the a I've maybe its in relation to What If season 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,349 ✭✭✭✭Foxtrol

Dont think they'd even go the multiverse route as it is pretty pointless. It is not only a new actor but the character would have a whole new history, relationships, and experiences from their universe. They might as well just bring in the actor they want and have them become BP.

If they're going the multiverse route I'd say they'll bring Michael B. Jordan back in as a BP - either with the story he grew up in Wakanda and took the throne the normal way or with the similar Killmonger story except he mended things with T'Challa, like was an option at the end of BP1, and then took the role after however T'Challa dies in BP2.

I can understand the calls for recast but personally I don’t want it just like I didn’t with Ledger, unless there's a complete reboot. There's plenty of ways for Marvel to honour the character while honouring also Boseman as the one and only T'challa.

It's just unfortunate that in Tchalla's one solo appearance he was overshadowed by Killmonger. That should be a warning shot to studios to not undercut your hero or central character which seems to be the default now.

Disagree strongly with that second paragraph.

One of many ways audiences connect with heroes is when they are dealing with captivating villains.

It is okay for a hero not to be central to every scene they're in. It is perfectly fine for heroes to share time with strong villains or other heroes, in many circumstances it actually helps them given their personalities and the story that is trying to be told.

Look at Nolan's trilogy as a comparison. Batman Begins had captivating villains but ones he could beat. Then Bruce taking a back seat to the Joker in TDK absolutely works. There's a way to have captivating villains in an introduction without making your lead look like an absolute muppet. Killmonger felt like the end of an arc instead of a start.

I'd say theres as much chance of Johnny Depp being cast as Tchalla as anyone else.

There will probably be a new person eventually assuming the Black Panther mantle but the character of Tchalla is completely finished with Boseman.

Any recast attempt would be doomed.

I think there's a small chance we might get an alternative T'Challa, now that the Multiverse is a thing and I'm convinced we'll get some Surprise Cameos of evil alt characters; but a recast? No chance. Boseman's death really seemed to hit harder than other Gone Too Soon stars like River Phoenix or whatnot.

Wasn't it reported that Chris Evans was signed on for at least one more future project.

Could that be the alt evil Cap or will he be the hero that saves everyone in Avengers Secert Wars.

Matt Shakman who was to direct the new Star Trek is leaving that and is now in talks to direct Fantastic Four

Marvel are rumoured to want Henry Cavill, a DD contender?

Penn Bagley ( You and Gossip Girl ) linked for Reed

I thought Captain Britain for Cavill if DC releases him from Superman

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,886 ✭✭✭✭flazio

He's not a Daredevil contender (if that's who you mean by "DD". Marvel are clearly sticking with Charlie Cox. Thor Love & Thunder getting added to Disney plus this Thorsday, I mean Thursday.

    This too shall pass.

I think if it's Henry Cavill vs Penn Badgley, then everyone would just be rooting for Doom to win.

One potential "problem" with a big name for Doctor Doom, is that if they're staying accurate to comics, we shouldn't see his face. But we seem it time and again where Superhero movies contrive to have the mask off as much as possible. Makes sense of course within the medium it's taking place.

Six days - six claws, I don't think there's anything more to it. All the X-Men movies are already on D+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 36,694 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Yeah same with the one under with the monster holding 7 fingers. It's just a countdown.

That said, they're definitely going to announce more MCU shows and movies, so wouldn't be surprised if X-Men do start appearing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,886 ✭✭✭✭flazio

Well, we know there's a reboot of the cartoon series on the way.

Separately from that. I saw Channel 4 decided to get in on the She-Hulk hype and managed to get a hold of Tatiana Maslany's break out hit Orphan Black as a boxset for All4. Threw it on and then realised something we were discussing here a few weeks back. Unresolved or dead end post credits.

Remember at the end of Spider-man Homecoming when Vulture arrives in prison and another prisoner shows him his Scorpion tattoo? The other prisoner was played by Michael Mando, who's in Orphan Black, which is why I'm remembering this now. That Scorpion setup never went anywhere. Michael Mando hasn't been heard from again.

    This too shall pass.

Jodie Comer to play Sue Storm seems to be doing the rounds before the official announcements over the next few days as D23 gets under way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,620 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

Can't wait until Cavill is revealed to be Doom or Reed. The level of shook fandom who abused him for years will be awesome.

    Is this a real possibility?

I like Cavill... he was a great Superman, and a good Clark..
