You mean €46,293 🤣 still no speakers for the extra 5k

    That's nuts at that price

Yeah the lack of rear speakers is ridiculous cost cutting. Obviously the likes of interior plastics will be the same on a €45k car as a €32k first base level because they're not going to swap them out but higher trims should have rear speakers that aren't the Beats audio upgrade.

I got caught out with that on my Cupra Born order. I already drove the ID.3 in the past so my focus was on build quality and the sound system, it sounded fine and I didn't notice the lack of speakers but I always offer to drive friends for gigs, cinema, road trips etc so would have wanted speakers in the rear. There's a kit that costs just over €300 plus labor. It's something I'll get down the line but that rate I would have gotten Beats upgrade.

Is it the ID.3 or is it Android Auto as I'm getting it happening now when in Android Auto...

Got mine back with 2.4 today after eight days but I have to say, absolutely great service from Tom Harvey motors Thurles.

First thing is that I now have dual climate control on my Life model, unexpected bonus

The % has not appeared on the driver's screen, must be 3.0

I am now getting the "satellite signal lost" message others have reported.

But most annoying is that my phone keeps reporting:

    "Message access Advanced Feature Support...

Re-pair for Advanced access Message Feature"

    🤔

Dropped the Tour in yesterday evening at Keanes Roscommon for the update today, hopefully all goes well. 3 cyl. Skoda Kamik and missing the tech onboard the tour... amazing when you get used to the features how you miss them.

Also getting the gps signal lost when using android auto, thinking it started occurring when those couple of small updates came out a few weeks ago but can't be sure. Will see when we get it back how it behaves.

Yeah my ID.4 has started saying that as well

I think it's Android auto as well since the voice doesn't sound like Helga from the VW satnav

Got the T-5 back today - update couldn’t be done because of issues with the VW servers- with garage 3 days, they wanted to hold it till Friday -

I just took the car back, when they have an ev as a loaner il drop it back for them to try again, cut my losses this time and gave back the 3 cylinder -

Rear speakers still not working 😬

Dropped my 13-month old Tech on 2.1 in for upgrade yesterday in South Dublin and got it back this afternoon with new battery and 2.4. Dealer said there were no problems and all went smoothly. Drove it home and all seems well, no issues detected - Android phone working fine, display more responsive. Dealer could not offer any explanation why I never received 2.1>2.3 upgrade, despite contacting VW Support three times in the past year.

That's mad. Must be why yours went smoothly as it never had 2.3 or what ever other updates you missed out on.

Update done and back yesterday evening with no problems and all seems well, hopefully the OTA 3.0 will land soon.

Don't have the issue with the inbuilt nav although I don't find it as handy as google maps, brings me up too many small roads. Updated to 2.4 yesterday so will see if the android auto problem persists.

Hope someone can help with my query. Going to London next week and bit anxious about charging. Do I need to register like here or just use credit card at contactless charge points. Thanks for your help.

So you'll want to use something like ABRP to plan your charging stops

Remember to select the right version of ID.3

Your we charge card can activate a lot of chargers in the UK, although often at an inflated price. You can use the We Connect ID app to check which chargers it can activate

I'd personally double check your We Charge card is working on a charger in Ireland before taking the plunge

A lot of the chargers have credit card readers, but not nearly all of them, so best to have one or two charging cards at the ready

Anyone with the update having issues with the voice controls? I used to say set temperature to 17 for instance. Now I’m getting, English is not supported for voice control. Have the battery percent in front of me so I guess that is some improvement. But it always sets the temperature to 22 when I get in as well. Bit annoying. Kind of want 2.3 back.

The T5 has no rear speakers, unbelievable in 2022 but this is VW.

The car is staying for the 3 day tomorrow to run the battery tests (SOH). At least I have a 212 ID.3 style on loan. Weirdest spec ever,IQ lights, sunroof, but no keyless entry, no camera and a single zone AC.

What update did you get that you have the % on the driver's screen? After getting the 2.4 update on mine it's still not there🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,408 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

Anyone notice a change in regen behaviour since the update?

I'm finding that the car seems to sense when approaching a junction or roundabout and I creases the regen to slow down. And that's with the ACC and Travel Assist off.

    Never used to do this.

Yep, providing of course it's in D, one of my favourite features of my previous car..
