Was sent the self inspection email today. Not sure why you don’t fill in this stuff when initially putting in the trade in. Says I should have a value in 48 hours. Is this usually accurate?

Yeah I think it nuts.... I know Elon and Tesla try and justify saying that humans use sight to get around so is replicating that.

But if I had build in radar and Lazer scanners I'd walk into less doors and step on less Lego.

It's down to cost of sensors and complexity to integrate all the sensor Sw wise. I really think Tesla are missing a trick here regulatory authorities also will require redundancy in sensors. Main reason why mercedes have leapfrogged Tesla to L3 autonomous driving.

So Just one more query on ordering an “inventory “ Tesla - the sales guys today (lovely fella, no bs) said the car would land c. Mid September. I was just wondering if peoples experience is that these “inventory” cars come up reasonably regularly, like if I miss the current ones am I likely goosed for this year?

Some will show up at end of each quarter. Next batch be December, but no way of knowing how many and for how long.

Inventory is a mix of cancellations and oversupply to fill the boat. Only Tesla knows when the next batch of RHD would come but I'd imagine end of the year.

MSM (of course) seven seat X75D. Has the usual exttras like premium interior, sound, EAP, heated+cooled seats , 22' onyx wheels, premium connectivity etc. It's only missing the tow pack and MCU2 update.

I was talking to the one of the guys on Sunday in Tesla and I think they wanted to have an X in stock which is why the offer was so good.

Got a message to send on copies of my Registration statement. Funny they gave me a quote before having not seen this.

They processed the new trade in and its gone up over €6000, more than a little happy with that, just below what I paid in 2020.

On my X the offer increased by just over 10k. Less than 2 months since the last offer too. They seem to be finally giving real trade in offers!

Yeap I guess Tesla know that there is an eager second hand market here.

Bad news if you think you are going to pickup a 2020 SR+ car for much less than 50k tho....bonkers.

Missed out on an inventory car while on the phone to tesla to move my order to it.. so who ever got that white m3 this afternoon your off the christmas card list!🤬

Its still on site now...or maybe another one added

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,220 ✭✭✭shanec1928

while it shows it's there when you go to buy, it just keeps looping to the inventory.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 959 ✭✭✭JOL1

it's now disappeared...but is indicative of movement of cars to Inventory ....so worth watching for anyone interested. Probably related to large shipment which has reached UK and will be in Zeebrugge tomorrow, with some people not completing their orders and cars becoming available. Unlike what you may think that Tesla would automatically allocate to next in line, the cars often go straight to inventory

    Trade in prices.

    I bought 2016 MS P90DL in July 2021 for €48k.

Got trade in price from teslas in oct 2021 of 49k for a M3.

    Jan was 51k.

When I actually traded it for an M3P in inventory in March 2022 I got 57,609. I walked out with a 2020 car and they gave me 2.5k EFT!

For those who have gone with AIB for HP via Tesla, how long did it take for a finance decision? It's been a week today since I sent in my paperwork and expected to hear back by now. It only took a day to get approval via Nissan for circa 30k at 0%. I haven't cancelled my Leaf order yet, so wonder if that's potentially holding things up, as the HP was also with AIB for that order.

Still don’t have a trade price yet. I believe the trade in price is only valid for a month? So it makes sense since my pickup is a month away from today.

I was waiting nearly two weeks....had to follow up myself with AIB and Tesla both

Who reached out to you to get the application started? Last time around I recall doing this all on collection day.

Agreed sale of my current Honda to a main dealer a couple of weeks ago. Handing it over today, they are giving me a loaner for a couple of weeks. Taking my Model 3 delivery on 13th September, hopefully won't feel too long.

I was waiting almost 4 weeks, had to chase up with Tesla a few times. They came back looking for more info, told them that, then a week later they asked for the same thing. Bit frustrating, but during the week, phoned them up to chase again, looked for the same info....again. Agent in UK chased up on my behalf with someone in Ireland, and about a day later got a confirmation email to say finance approved.
