    Yesterday 13th August 2022, took a train from Thurles to Dublin at 20.00hrs. Loud claps of thunder as we departed. At Templemore station it was raining and rain continued until Ballybrophy station.


    I expect even those short rain showers came as welcome relief to otherwise parched locations.

    A bit of a cloudier start than recently and feeling fresher. Temp 20.3c

    Haven't updated in a few days but i had a station record 29.8c on Friday beating the previous Max Temp of 29.2c on June 28th 2018. Since the heatwave started i've had Max Daily temps of 25.3c, 27.0c, 29.0c, 29.8c and 28.4c. A truely memorable spell.

    Station record Max of 30.5c at my station in Waterford City before a sea breeze kicked in and the temp dropped to 24.9c in an hour.

    What an incredible spell of heat its been. Amazing we hit that 30c for the first time. A nice milestone

    Currently its 25.4c and cloudy.

    Carrigaline Cork.

    Lovely blue skys and a breeze.

    Over last few weeks we have been spoiled when you look out at this .. expectations risen like leaving parosols out and up, BBQs etc all in the heat. But now you walk out and a definite chill .. no more sitting out in the heat. Already miss that

    Last week was our "hols" .. based on people in family medical circumstance no hols proper at the mo. Hopefully next year.
