As true now as it was 8 years ago. Dublin are physically outmatched by the best teams in the country. The Limerick backs would make it embarrassing for the Dublin forwards (as Kilkenny did recently) if they played each other.

Don't look remotely near the level required to seriously compete at the buiness end of the championship.

Further away now then they were 10 years ago. There ought to be more stand alone hurling clubs. It is a factor. The likes of a Con O Callaghan ect will choose Gaelic Football over hurling if equally good at both. I think Hurling should ultimately separate completely from Football in the years to come. It's being held back.

With regards to specifics in Dublin. They arent producing the players. Very few top class forwards coming through. There's a generic decent athlete ,ok on the ball type player. It's disappointing really after all the investment. The schools game in Dublin is very average in secondary schools. They haven't one A boarding school onboard when hurling and Rugby go hand in hand. Look at CBC in Cork..'A' in both Rugby and Hurling. Same as Ard Scoil Ris (not boarding) ect..

Anybody hear about who the next manager will be? Could Davy Fitz be offered the job now he's no longer with the Cork camogie team.
