She didn't call on Zelensky to do anything.

She called for a ceasefire and negotiations.

Yeah but he's politicised the Presidency to the point where he seemingly now has his own foreign policy. What a horrible precedent he's set and I hope the next President has the wit to reverse it.

You're going to try derail yet another thread into ludicrous comparison's with no relevance.

They invaded their country and levelled cities. They've forcibly relocated the population.

A negotiation or ceasefire on the current status quo isn't realistic. The Russians have to date broken every local ceasefire including during humanitarian efforts.

They have fired upon civilian vehicles and buses, they have bombed hospitals and civilian shelters and today, there are very credible reports that the Russians massacred a cohort of POWs.

Negotiation requires a few things to actually pan out. A position of strength, A resource or inducement to peace, and a modicum of trust. Russia currently has none of these things and Ukraine is literally fighting for its existence. The resurgence in Russian Revanchism is an existential threat to Ukraine and the Baltic Nations.

There is currently no practical basis for a ceasefire and no faith can be placed in Russia holding to it in any case.

Ukraine should negotiate but you can’t tell us what Russia are willing to negotiate about because they certainly aren’t retreating from illegally occupied territories.
