"Traditional values" from the nation with the highest divorce rates...

    and abortion rates...

    Untitled Image

...and the highest percentage of single parent families in Europe(And lowest happiness rating and life expectancy and highest corruption too). And there's me thinking the "traditional values" conservative bunch were agin' divorce, abortion and single mothers... I suppose it's because putin hates "The Gays(TM)" and "Cancel Culture(TM)" so he gets a free pass from the monumentally fcuking stupid. If they're Irish and believe this bullshít they're even more monumentally fcuking stupid because going by those stats it seems outside of the right on platitudes our media and politicians sometimes come out with we're one of the most "conservative" nations. Maybe we should do a video. 🤣

Ukraine is worse on those stats too. The sooner they get the hell away from Mother Russia the better. It's like an infection spread by close contact.

I was talking to a Russian girl a few years back and she told me nearly everyone gets married to the first person they get into a serious relationship with. Marriage at 19, 20, 21 is the absolute norm, none of this waiting to have a career or travel the world malarkey. It means though there are a huge number of divorcees and separated people by the time they hit their early forties.

Yeah, it's kinda like America on the young marriage stakes but much higher. Of the Russian women I've known down the years pretty much all of those over 30 had been divorced(or were still married). They have kids earlier too. Though this has changed a lot over the last 25 years. Their birthrates have fallen off a cliff, even with financial incentives, actual payments as well as tax relief, for having more kids.

On the other hand and what we might not expect given Russia's early marriage ages and much more conservative gender norms, Russia has the second highest percentage of women business owners and the highest percentage of women in senior management of any nation on Earth. Funny enough and on the surface contradictory it's just as and often more likely socially conservative and less gender equal countries are higher in the stats for women in business and management than the more progressive and more gender equal countries. Russia's Soviet past probably has a major influence there. Or it could be human nature? IE if you say "you can be all you can be" with fewer barriers people are more likely to go "meh", if you say "nope you can't do that because..." with more barriers then people are more likely to go "fcuk you pal, I"m doing it!" 😁

This is akin to ISIS setting fire to people and beheading Christians. Russian forces are the largest terrorist group on this planet, deliberately targeting civilians and civilian areas, torturing and mutilation of prisoners of war, ethnic cleansing of Ukrainian population, sending them to far flung concentration camps, I fear for the world if Putin is left in power after this, and a negotiated settlement is agreed where he gets to keep Ukrainian lands.

But that is exactly what I fear is going to happen, when you take a step back, away from all the propaganda on both sides, Putin is in a stronger place than anyone is comfortable to admit.

He has control of infinite amounts of oil and gas, and with that has most of Europe at his mercy, with gas particularly.

He has some of the most fertile land on the planet.

He has nuclear weapons so no fear of anyone over stepping the line and invading Russia.

He is the Head of a brutal dictatorship with little fear of an uprising due to how he deals with (murders or dissappears) opposition.

And he is not as isolated as we had all hoped, there seems to be plenty of African countries and Iran willing to deal with him, which will help him circumvent a lot of the sanctions.

All I keep hearing is "the Russians are on their knees, they will be done by August" etc. Etc. Depressing as it is, I think it's just wishful thinking.

I'd love to know what the solution is, but letting these atrocities continue in Ukrain is not going to end this.

The video itself is absolutely disgusting beyond words. Just shows how many Russian units comprised of ruthless mercenaries, conscripts and thugs are running amok in Ukraine without any real oversight.

I doubt actual professional Russian soldiers would stand around filming and watching something like that. Of course stuff like this happens in all conflicts, but the level at which it's happening in Ukraine is disturbing.

The Safarai-hat wearing soldier responsible has been identified, he's deleted all social media but too late. His details are everywhere online, including his home address. He's been marked enemy number one by some Ukrainian units.

Hopefully he's captured, put on trial and jailed for life in a Ukrainian prison. Sickening stuff. Even Russian leaders will be balking at that one.

No one is "uncomfortable" accurately detailing Russia's position. Putin may be in a strong place domestically, but the country is in serious trouble.

Disgusting disgraceful behaviour what an absolute barbaric act and probably only the tip of the iceberg. What a disgrace of an army to produce that sort of behaviour.

It's my belief the entire key to having the best outcome to this war is the continued, if imperfect, support for Ukraine from the West. HIMARS as one example has made a sh1t out of russian logistics. Harpoon means russia is afraid to undertake an amphibious landing near Odesa. Javelins etc. have destroyed thousands of russian military armour and vehicles. russia always escalates and the West should do the same here. russia has proven it's army isn't the second army of the world but somewhat of a paper tiger. Ukraine has the will to win and frankly smarter human beings than the russians.

Ukraine, with a good measure of help from russian corruption has resisted the attack on it's capital, have repelled MANY attempts at envelopment by russian forces. Now, and yes, slowly, Ukraine is pushing russia back towards Kherson, striking important targets. They have even made some advances in the East near Izyum.

It will take time but I see Ukraine degrading russian forces ability to fight a war, undermining already sh1t morale in russian forces and making mr. putrid somewhat of a laughing stock. russia, the great superpower resorts to torture and civilian massacres, par for the course with them.

That's now the big play from the russian sympathisers in the West, how any extension of the war will kill more people. Of course it will, but who's targeting civilians here exactly? russia, that's who. It's the weapon of last resort, not nuclear arms, but the erosion of public opinion. To cave into that thinking gives a free hand for ANY country with a bigger army invade another, and claim that territory through "negotiation".

The parts of the world that value their freedom cannot allow russia gain one solitary thing from this invasion. Tell russia to sit and swivel on their nukes.

At this stage if a nuke landed in the Kremlin I wouldn't give a damn. They don't deserve anything better...

That won't happen and if it does Kiev would be turned into a pile of radioactive rubble quickly followed by Moscow and the rest of us.

If Russia did that, any bit of international support or prestige they have left would be gone. Including China and Iran.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

A lot of swivel-eyed Christo-Fascists hopefully. I hope it's a roaring success for them. The more that decamp from the civilised world to the kind of theocratic shithole they're trying to turn their own countries into, the better.

Seemingly another soldier removed the gag. And shot the POW in the head and his body was dragged off with a rope. All on camera.

It's the end of Russia. Eastern Europe has been saying it all along and knew what needs doing. Pity the bit further west you got the more naive they became.

The west is playing a slow continuous degrading of Russian army hoping they get a reality check

But the isis like barbarism is to scare us from putting boots on the ground

While the nuke threat is ever present.

I want a nato force on Russian borders and in the back sea not doing this has emboldened putin to do at will in a sovereign country

Shame on our president's wife how dare she appease an evil gangsterous regime without offical state approval

The Russian army and leadership are disgraced for 1000 years. They should stop now before they do themselves any more harm.

It looks like history is starting up again.

Moscow Calling, a medium-sized Russian Telegram channel with 31,000 subscribers, posted an appraisal of the entirety of Russian operations in Ukraine since February 24.

Moscow Calling defined three distinct phases of the war—the first spanning from initial invasion to the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kyiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv Oblasts and the second spanning between that point and the introduction of Western-provided HIMARS.

Moscow Calling notably defined the arrival of HIMARS as a distinct turning point in the war and stated that previously provided Western weapons systems (such as NLAWs, Javelins, Stingers, and Bayraktars) did very little against Russian artillery bombardment (they are not designed or intended to counter artillery attack), but that HIMARS changed everything for Russian capabilities in Ukraine.

Moscow Calling strongly insinuated that recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian warehouses, communication hubs, and rear bases are having a devastating and potentially irreversible impact on the development of future Russian offensives.

This post is consistent with previous reports from Western defense officials that Russian troops are being forced to engage in various HIMARS mitigation tactics on the battlefield, including camouflage measures and constantly changing the location of equipment groupings. These mitigation tactics are impeding Russian forces from conducting the massive artillery barrages that they have widely employed over the course of the war, as evidenced by NASA Fire Information for Resource Management (FIRMS) data that shows consistently fewer observed heat anomalies over the frontline in Donbas since the introduction of HIMARS to Ukraine.

Not sure that NATO/ US/ West would need to respond with nukes, other than to prove that they are willing to. They could likely take out just as much of Russia just as quickly but without turning it into a radioactive wasteland by using conventional weapons.

Russia throws a nuke, the west does more damage back without needing to resort to nukes yet, Russia then has a moment to pull back from the brink as they finally realise that the west has the bigger stick in reserve still.

The alternative being the west throws a bunch of nukes in response to Russia and Russia then has no option but to launch everything back and we all lose.

The greatest geopolitical disaster of the 20th century was that the allies did not take advantage of that window between 1945 and 1949 where they had the bomb and the Soviets didn’t. If Moscow and the Kremlin had been nuked at that stage the world would be a better place today.

it took until 1948 until they woke up and saw that the Soviets were no longer their allies so really there was only about a year of a window of opportunity.

I don't think russia will use nuclear weapons. They may, but I don't believe they will.

The possible nuclear danger comes from some type of false flag at a Ukrainian nuclear power plant.

It's risky in many ways for russia. Fallout politically as well as actual fallout landing on their territory.
