I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Padraig has taken in a few and put them to work as his staff tbh. They would be living in the shed of course, which is the gatekeepers lodge.

Do the papers never question these people who are clearly not fleeing for their lives as to why they are here. If the woman owns the beauticians she'll be getting money from that on top of free hotel accommodation, food, benefits and no bills. do the media pick stories that are likely to turn people off genuine refugees by publishing stories about absolute chancers. I'm honestly at a loss as to what the agenda is

I was intrigued by rather narrow minded interpretation of "Bigotry" offered last night, but on reflection I get now what those, may be referring to albeit in denial as to were the actual bigotry is originating from and its right under there noses.

And yet its actual Bigotry that I and many others have been highlighting for months now. Yet very recently we get lambasted and insulted for daring to call it out, with an absurd notion we are the Bigots by simply calling out the blatant Hypocrisy and discrimination going on.

Of course this is just one element of what is going on that's being called out and it's the further highlighting of some quite extraordinary carry on, not Makey Uppy stories, painful Truths that further fuels this extraordinary desire to paint anyone, not overcome by virtue signalling as Bigots.

Those very small numbers of folks who hate debate are of course entitled to their opinions but equally those with opposite views are too, we don't need to resort to childish insults, there's more than enough evidence out there of what is really going on.

These of course aside from a mind boggling poorly worded EU directive and the consequences its led too.

Ireland of course not Alone in supporting Discrimination and "Bigotry"......

I'm not at all sure what you follow on Twitter or if your on Twitter but I am and whilst I don't go looking for racism or Bigotry I actually see none of what you describe, but of course I choose my feed preferences wisely.

There's debate, Questioning, discussion on the Ukrainian Refugee situation in Ireland, a bit like here, if you assume such debate and ligitimate questioning of Policy and some extraordinary decisions is Bigotry, I simply call that being disingenuous, particularly when you've literally just joined a discussion months old. Are we to censor debate, do you think that's the Solution 🤔 I don't believe it is.

Indeed and an observation not lost on me and the vast majority on this Thread. The discussion, over many months has expressed initial sympathy, compassion, objectivity, understanding and that continues, some have made extraordinary gestures of Kindness, that too continues but yes, there's the ligitimate questioning of quite extraordinary and frankly out of control situation that is the subject of discussion. Tone has changed admitidly, but is that not any wonder with increasing chaos and ineptitude.

Permitting only one side of discussion be heard is infact the perfect discription of censorship. Are we all to be accused of Bigots if we hold only one View 🤔 a rather odd argument.

Debate will continue, Questions continued to be asked and infact over the coming weeks more and more questions because wether or not the tiny few think, things are getting better, they are sadly mistaken.

No it's Laughable when you presume to presume on the basis of very little contribution to the Thread that it's consumed by Bigotry, Hatred and Racism, when infact the complete opposite is True.

To automatically assume a Different opinion or a ligitimate Question or observation is Bigotry because you may not agree with them is quite extraordinary, but then (I'm not saying you) to mock, insult and act childish and Glib about the Topic, I'm afraid makes the argument rather farcical.

No one denied there's varying opinions, perhaps some extreme views but they are on both sides of a very long discussion.

Trying to disguise bigoted attacks as a "reasonable discussion" is merely an attempt to hide bigotry. They can feign concern about local homeless or school places etc in between rants about wealthy Ukrainians giving up jet-setting lifestyles in Miami and New York to come, with their fancy cars no less, to live forever on a beach in Gormanston and get 200 Euro a week. Never mind the conspiracy theories about how a government connected person bought a hotel for 5 million and will be given 17 million a year of public money to take in Ukrainians. Designed purely to stir up hatred and bitterness

Posts begrudging a lady who got a private donation of a space rent free for 3 months and now runs a nail bar there. Posts moaning about the fact that she employs 4 Ukrainians and that an Irish business wouldn't be "allowed" just to hire "Irish people". A recent one is bitching about a family with 3 kids who fled who are now working but have a small business back home. As if having a business would grant your kids invincibility against missile strikes or invading Ruskis

You'd call for more money to be pumped in to get emergency housing put up? I'd say they could get some prefabricated buildings shipped in from abroad and assembled fairly quickly.

A bit like your buddy above moaning about discrimination of Ukrainians vs. Asylum seekers. They are obviously trying to push that all other asylum seekers immediately get housed and get given 200 Euro a week into their paw. I won't support them on that.

sure. The below post mentions both the "fabulous cars" and "exotic locations" such as "Miami, New York".

The ones arriving are apparently the "elites"..............same poster has plenty posts about how the ones coming will be here forever because things will be too good for them to ever leave .....obviously these "elites" are aiming a life of 200 Euro a week and a tent in Gormanstown. Presumably a place outside a tent to park the fancy car too but I'm only assuming that bit.
