You can't say that last sentence after what you have done. You came on here and attacked me on basis of something made up completely in your own head. You've been backtracking now for the past number of posts yet you're still finding a way of coming across as condescending. You do realise you could have made your entire argument without being like that since the start and it would have been a much shorter argument?

And what have other forums got to do with this? I've a feeling that the other poster that's also backtracking on proboards is you too. It was a misunderstanding by you and a poorly worded original post by me, I can accept that, but since I made that post all you've done is attack me, not my post, me.

    I never said touting.

My issue was the original post and the tone of it.

Like I wouldn't expect someone in premium to do a straight swap with crap seats. But knowing you've a corner view, and looking for decent seats i.e a better view, better seats but insisting on that cash difference to me smacks of grabby

I don't know what volunteering with a club has to do with it. There are plenty of loyal club people who rarely attend county games, you think they should be the front in line for All Ireland tickets? In the Ulster Final this year I saw some people with the best seats in the stadium and I know that they don't attend all county games. In fact I am aware that people who attended home and away league games had trouble getting Ulster final tickets. Clubs give all the best tickets to their committee members even if they weren't at a county game all year.

You may argue that the club volunteers are the reason why the county team is successful however with my local club this isn't the case. The club never has players in the county team so those volunteers shouldn't get credit for the county teams success.

Would it be worth walking up towards the ground today to try and pick up 2 tickets?

would there be a lot of fakes on the go?

Loads of tickets around at the Gresham. Buy from fans, not touts.

Hearing about plenty of tickets around pubs with fans who got them off people who couldn't make it for whatever reason.

I had a spare after the lad I got the ticket for found a better one and I sold the spare within seconds. Go to pubs with fans and you should pick up something if you're in Dublin.

Would this be the first time football final tickets went on general sale?

I guess recent inflation maybe just makes it too expensive for some people

I've been to pretty much every final since 2013 (bar covid finals and 1/2 others) and that was by far the easiest I've had it in the run-up. And as mentioned above there were plenty selling tickets in the morning/afternoon in Drumcondra village. I think the biggest reason was not having the Dubs playing and the sheer demand they bring, but also, not having the minor final on freed up a nice chunk too.

Seeing the minor final bring a massive crowd on its own showed how much demand it put in the all Ireland itself.

Seen many people exchanging tickets today so didn't seem to be a shortage.

I think with costs a huge issue a lot of neutrals just stayed put at home also without the Dubs or Mayo either of them would have taken up any tickets available .
