Travelling to france and noticed sons covid boost is needed. Travelling on Sat and have got appointment for thursday. I know the cert might not be instantly availble. Will the yellow card you get from the doctors suffice if still waiting for the valid cert. Anybody know?

I'm flying into Nice via Zurich with Swiss Air. Previously when flying to France post-covid it's been direct with Ryanair and we just uploaded certs to their app when we check in. Has anyone used SwissAir (Lufthansa) before and can tell me how the COVID cert is applied?

We are going to France next week on the ferry. Its our first time driving abroad. Very excited and just wondering about the tolls on the motorway. Do we need cash for these? We sail into roscoff and are going to St Jean de monts area. So the motorway by rennes and nantes. What can we expect to pay in tolls and do we need cash. Thanks

From Roscoff to St Jean de Monts you don't need to pay tolls. Use below link to plan route. If you are arriving early Sunday morning it is a great time to drive down, very quiet.

anyone know how long the cert takes to be issued after getting the booster?

My son got his booster at Easter and still waiting for the cert. Under 18s once fully vaccinated don't need a booster to enter France.

Ah no! Vélo rail is a bit of fun! We did it near St Eulalie de Cernon, a Knights Templar spot. Gentle slope down, maybe 4 or 5 kms & then the little train back up! Gorgeous hilly countryside & all a bit cooler than the coast at the time.

We enjoyed the velo rail!

Submarines in St Nazaire is OK too.

this was a booster not an antigen test. How does it work with the antigen test as its another option!

I used a large pharmacy in a nearby town . Paid the €30 and the chemist administered the test. My ferry is tomorrow at 4.00 pm so I rang Brittany Ferries and they told me that any time after 6.00 pm yesterday would have me well inside the 48 hours as demanded by the French. Got a slot for 6.30 and was out at 7 with the cert which actually looks very similar to the Covid vaccination certificate itself.

Hi guys. I have a question on ferry fares. They are available to book now at the moment for summer 2023.

This would be our first time travelling on the ferry so I'm wondering is it like a booking a flight where the prices can fluctuate up and down at different times of the year? Or is generally cheaper to book as far in advance as possible?

Looking to book for June 2023.

We booked in May 21 for Aug22 with Brittany Ferries.

Likely going to pull the trigger on a 2023 this weekend. Prices appear to to pretty stable v 2022 sailings, greater choice too with Rosslare Cherbourg. Thought they'd be a good bit more.

Book early and just pay it if off over the winter! Beats waiting until August and having to form out €1000 up front for flights.
